Espacial Discos present the first ever reissue of The New York Disco Orchestra's Reverie, originally released in 1978. Sought-after disco/funk/boogie album from the US. Professional-sounding recording with top level musicianship and perfect sound quality, comparable to any other major album of the time (think Love Unlimited Orchestra). Mixed by Disco legend Joaquin J. Lopes and featuring brothers John & Rocco Giamundo. Mostly instrumental with superb arrangements (string, keys, and even the Vako Ochestron on one track) and surprising occasional fuzz/effects electric guitar. Originally released as a promo album in blank sleeve (now impossible to find) on the band's own Artemis label, it was subsequently issued in Belgium (under the Reverie - Get Up And Dance title) and Japan, both housed in picture sleeves. Including club/rare-groove classics like "It's True" -- compiled on Under The Influence Volume 2 by Paul Phillips (ZEDD 027CD) -- "Get It On And Dance", "The Way We Were" (a disco-symphonic version of the Barbra Streisand movie hit) and more... Features new artwork (based on the band's original idea for the intended but never finished US cover).

Espacial Discos present a reissue of Kenny Claiborne And The Armed Gang's The Armed Gang, originally released in 1983. An Italo/boogie/funk/synth holy grail. Armed Gang was a project created in Vicenza by famous Italo-disco producer/musician Maurizio Sangineto "Sangy" (Firefly, Creatures, etc), featuring keyboard wizard Flavio Botta plus three black American vocalists: Kenny Claiborne, Joe Beach, and James Otis White Jr, who were army soldiers destined in Italy at the time (hence the "Armed Gang" name). Their sole album was released in 1983 in Italy and Brazil on Sangy's own label, Musix, and is now heavily sought-after by collectors and DJs. Master tape sound; Original Italian artwork; Includes insert with photos and liner notes by Gonzalo Oya.
"Offering an overdose of street funk -- catchy and foxy -- Armed Gang were going against the current trends that dominated the Italian disco scene at that time. Moving away from the crescent influence of British synth-pop as well as from the ubiquitous shadow of the Nile Rodgers sound -- both essential to Italo disco -- they opted for a sound closer to boogie, a genre that was getting bigger & bigger in the USA. This formula crystallized in several unique gems that will always be part of the history of European black music, like 'Funky Fever' (a P-Funk ode to cannabis) and delicious disco anthems ('Are You Ready' or 'You'), that, without any doubt, should have deserved more recognition from radio stations and European audiences at the time." --Gonzalo Oya

Espacial Discos present a reissue of Aviador Dro's second album, Tesis, originally released in 1983. In 1983, Aviador Dro, the legendary Spanish synth-pop band, are at the height of their powers: their own DRO record label is working full time, they share management with famous Spanish new wave bands like Alaska y Los Pegamoides, Los Nikis, their songs are heavily played on the radio and they play numerous gigs all across Spain. 1983 was also when the band decide to create their most ambitious project to date: a deluxe box set, Síntesis: La Producción al Poder, which will include two LPs, a 7" and a booklet. It was as a part of that set where Tesis, which would become their second album, originally appears, along with another album, aptly titled Antítesis, showing the more experimental side of the band. A few months after the release of Síntesis: La Producción al Poder, Tesis was released separately with a slight change to the track list. This is the edition presently being reissued. Subtitled "Eight Great Stories Of Science And Future", Tesis featured "the most recommended songs for the industrial dance". This is, simply put, another minimal wave/synth-pop classic, including anthems like "Baila la guerra", "Vortex", and "Nestor el cyborg". Remastered edition with original artwork and eight-page LP sized insert.

Espacial Discos present the first ever, legit vinyl reissue of Hot Pepper's Spanglish Movement, originally released in 1978. This obscure cosmic disco/Balearic/Afro gem from Mexico, originally released as a private pressing in 1978. Hot Pepper was a studio project created by Mexican drummer/producer/arranger Jesús Muñoz "Tilico" who decided to record an album in a disco-funk vein, helped by some of his friends who were top session musicians. Spanglish Movement was the result, written and produced by "Tilico", released in 1978 as a tiny private edition housed in a fabulous Afro cover. Being "Tilico," a giant drummer who appeared on countless recordings and accompanied famous figures like Paul Mauriat and Carl Tjader among many others, you can expect here lots of heavy drums, congas, and percussion, surrounded by crazy space synths, male-female vocals, Latin horns, Afro touches, and occasional fuzz guitar. Four superb long tracks including the cosmic underground club classic, "Ritual Song". Includes insert with liner notes and rare photos.

Susana Estrada was one of the muses and main figures from the period known as "Transition" in Spain. No other woman represented better than her the freedom and sexual revolution which the country experienced in the '70s after the end of the dictatorship. A truly erotic Goddess, Susana was a model, singer, and actress and one of the first women to perform fully-naked plays in Spain. She appeared in numerous erotic magazines and movies and her famous sexual counselling column for Play-Lady magazine caused a big commotion at the time. She reached fame with her erotic musical plays like Historias Del Strip-Tease, Muñecas (where she simulated having sex with a robot), and Machos. As a singer, in 1980, Susana released her first 45 for the Belter label from Barcelona: Acaríciame/Machos. Produced by Josep Llobell Oliver and Manuel Gas, it contained two sexy disco tracks which paved the way for her first LP, Amor Y Libertad ("Love And Freedom"), released on the Belter sub-label Sauce in 1981. Produced by cosmic disco pioneer Josep Llobell (Oliver's Planet), this is a real fest of '80s Italo disco, Munich sound, boogie, funk, and modern soul. The fabulous, minimal production of Llobell collides with the sensual vocals and moanings of Susana, singing about sexual liberation and freedom. Criminally underrated for many years, Amor Y Libertad has now become a cult item in the international cosmic disco scene. But in 1980, a strange cassette by Susana called Machos was also released on the Belter label. It featured music and songs from the play of the same name. There, we can find "Espacial" (seven minutes of robotic funk and space cosmic disco) and "Hagamos El Amor" ("Let's make love"), another sexadelic funk track much in the vein of the ones included on Amor Y Libertad. On this compilation, you'll find the entire Amor Y Libertad album except the two tracks which were not in a disco/funk vein ("Ven" and "Arena Y Mar"), plus "Machos" (a Celi Bee & The Buzzy Bunch cover), "Acaríciame" from the first Belter 45, and two tracks from the Machos cassette: "Espacial" and "Hagamos El Amor". Espacial Discos also included a previously unreleased track courtesy of Susana: "Tócame", recorded in 2007, in a High Energy Euro Disco vein. Master tape sound; Insert with liner notes and rare photos (some of them only recommended to adults).
