Half Baked Records presents a swinging monster from the Canadian modular man of mystery, Mike Shannon. This EP celebrates Half Baked's fifth birthday and the A-side, "Over and Over (Time to Celebrate Mix)" is the perfect cybernetic-gospel-funk commemoration of that. On the B-side is "Just a Glimpse", featuring Shannon's signature elements: crisp drums, spooky yet playful bass, and teasing, jazzy electric piano. The B2, "Pleasure Law," is the deeper and more romantic cut of the record, adding some mellow chords that eventually get picked up by a Detroitish wave of filtered grandiosity, finally unfolding into an uplifting solo piano outro.

Half Baked Records is back with a stellar EP where two milestones of the underground electronic music scene collide: Mike Shannon and Thomas Melchior. The original cut, crafted by Mr. Shannon, carries his typical sound signature; crisp, swingy drums, hypnotic stabs and a haunting modulated bass line. However, this time, we venture into deep house territories rather than techno, with a jazzy delayed chord progression that will no doubt cause ruckus on the dancefloor. On the flipside, Thomas Melchior, under his Melchior Productions Ltd. moniker, delivers his interpretation, stripping it down to the essential. A 12-minute minimal trippy monster that effortlessly locks you in the groove.

Half Baked Records presents the solo EP of French DJ, producer and Half Baked resident, Robin Ordell. "Five Majors" is a dramatic club twister that has all the ingredients to rock a dancefloor, while preserving a touch of elegance. "Nobody Loves Bishopgate" has a an eerie underwater feeling, slowly numbing you with his bubbly bass and filtered melodies, but still keeping you afloat with his funky swing. Vera's remix of the track strips it down, emphasizing the drugged-out atmospheres and delivering a hypnotic laidback re-interpretation. "Kosma" features jazzy chords that alternate with playful stabs.
