Joy O on the release: "Slipping a new EP by me is up next on Hinge Finger. This one was a bit of a transitional record for me, personally and musically. it paints quite a vivid picture in my head that I hope you'll enjoy, summer in my studio with two of London's finest, @mansurbrownmusic & @keyahblu and a snapshot of winter in New York with @4everinfinite. Oh and a bit of autumn with dad too! The cover is a picture of my nan in London taken some time in the 70's, lovely right? This photo really makes me smile, my mum summed it up the best tho -- 'washing on the line, empty pond and my mum doing the three things she loved the most. sunbathing, smoking and a glass of something'. There's clearly a lot to learn here (get pissed in the garden more?) but I see it as a reminder to make the most of what you have."

"Joy Orbison has announced the release of a new EP called 81b, out via his Hingefinger imprint. The six track EP includes bopping big room chugger 'Sin Palta', hypno dub techno styler 'Coyp' and sci-fi synthscape 'Tennov6teen'."

"Will Bankhead and Joy Orbison's Hinge Finger label is releasing a 12-inch from Tom Of England called Care To Destroy. . . . Tom Of England is one of Thomas Bullock's many aliases -- others include Otterman Empire, Mammal, The Hankins Mountaineers and Welcome Stranger. Bullock also released a self-titled mixtape on Bankhead's The Trilogy Tapes back in 2013." --Resident Advisor

" 'Off Season' is the more immediate weapon. At first brush it's a fairly straight, breaks-infused drum track, although a few small but crucial details set it apart. At one point the track's rhythm is suddenly scrambled, knocking dancers off their balance, while an ominous synth lines ghosts in for the track's main break, which brings things to near-silence before returning with the intensity of the best hardcore records. 'Fuerza' is subtler and made me think of Olof Dreijer's work as Oni Ayhun. That's mainly because of the track's distinctive lead synth, which, with its phased stomp, also brings to mind Levon Vincent" --Resident Advisor.

2022 repress. "Long rumored entry into the Hinge Finger crew from Peder Mannerfelt, following his mind-bending Controlling Body LP a few months back. Having knocked us sideways with his recent output, Peder's HF debut collects four tracks of cross-genre dynamic dynamite. 'Cry To Your Soul' blends some helter-skelter style rave trax with a raw gabba bounce, before 'Clear Eyes, Full Heart' brings in some utterly sick 4x4 bassline tribal flex. Flip side 'Savvy' builds a robotic-eski click to the front while 'The Great Attractor' coats the 12" in some rave slime EVOL style. Truly sick 12" in every sense of the word!" --Bleep, 2016.

"Four off-the-wall, housebound deviations in true Hinge Finger mode, from Liepzig's underdog. Fervently chopped-up beats, slicing percussion shots, and seductively deranged atmospherics. Blueprint experimentalism from one half of MikroDisko."
