Two sublime cuts from SCSI 9 and Rebotini. Chloé's classy remix of Rebotini's "Cm" constantly moves forward, but stays open for any sonic scintillation. Originally released in 2009 on Citizen Records, it boasts deceptively simple chords sitting on a tightly executed rhythm foundation -- a perfect blend of the Black Strobe co-founder's powerful minimalist electro and Chloé's dark and sensual textures. Russian producer duo SCSI 9's "Angel," originally released in 2001 on Salo, is a particularly atmospheric representative of the first wave of electronic 21st century blues, a strong-willed and emotive piece of music that nevertheless keeps its cool.

Peter Kremeier belongs to the most influential heavy-hitters of German house history. "Swing Ibero" was initially released in 1997 as a B-side of the Chunky Planetz EP on the Research label. Still acting under his Don Disco moniker, what starts off as a relaxed, deep abstract house groove turns into an ecstatic flanger-fest. As Losoul, he took a trip into the depths of his archives and discovered "Nuin." It's rather incomprehensible why this jewel never got to see a proper release.

"After kicking off understatement-stylo with Benjamin Diamond and Connective Zone, Michael Mayer's Immer project now ignites the second traction unit. Obviously, the two featured tracks are hailing from the past, for this is what this project is about: to put a spotlight on those great tunes that undeservedly never officially reached the status of a classic. Originally released in 1996 on Hamburg's flagship techno imprint Superstition, D-Saw might have suffered from the ongoing sell-out of trance music. 'Track 10:30' wasn't very successful at the time it got released but it's still a hell of a spectacular acid track which guarantees goosebumps wherever it's played. Actually, D-Saw weren't too far away from the now omnipresent Border Community type-of-sound. Meanwhile in Berlin, a certain Matthias Roeingh proves one more time that it only needs a drum machine and a synthesizer to create a monster. Euphothythm's 'Patrik' is produced by 'Mr. Loveparade,' Dr. Motte and it's certainly one of the most wicked tracks ever done. Motte keeps setting you up with his endless breaks. When you think the track is ready to blow up he will interrupt it again. Well, sometimes it's better to leave something out than adding it. Ricardo Villalobos knows about this too. He just licensed 'Patrik' for his latest Cocoon mix CD Green & Blue."
