Sascha Barth presents his familiar, driving and intelligent tech-house on Insist Music. With "Daughter & Son," the Freiburg native presents a groovy, playful and impulsive sound. Patrick Kunkel & Dirk Redmer refine their remix with a hypnotic bass line, but then let the track, with its dub elements and the choir parts, drift so beautifully into the sunrise, that one would wish for an infinite loop.

Intelligent, groovy techno from Ping!. "Departure" has funky, offbeat elements in the beginning and cleverly-placed breaks. Sascha Sonido's remix catches a touch of tribal techno, moving the track with its vocals a good bit further into the house cosmos. "Steady State Universe" features jazz sound figures and a hypnotic beat. The Justin Berkovi remix focuses more directly on the dancefloor.

Insist Music's second release is a fancy triple: Side A presents Sascha Sonido's track "Tanzania," remixed by Patrick Kunkel and Dirk Redmer, which straddles the borderlines of house, garage and techno, paired with a smacking house groove, playful chords and spooky/soulful vocal effects. On side B is a pair of brilliant house tracks: "Tanzania" and "Koh Samui." On both tracks soulful voice matches beats and synths perfectly, taking the dancefloors to a higher level.

The first release on Insist Music presents some of the rising stars of the Israeli electronic music scene: Lonya Koval in collaboration with Audio Junkies. "Face Lift" is a piece of uplifting tech-house using a sequencer line that grows and grows. The same track is reworked by Patrick Kunkel and Dirk Redmer, keeping the flow of the original and introducing some more house elements. "Fetish" is remixed by Audio Junkies and makes use of a hypnotic, sunshiney melody.
