"Previously unreleased on vinyl. Raw, loud and dubplate style, here's some more '87 digital madness, another killer rhythm from Jah Life's prolific late '80s production period seeing release for the first time. Three tuff vocal cuts from Michael Levy, King Kong and Conroy Smith, all backed with the same stripped-down version. As good a release for '80s digital diehards as we've ever had, turn it up."

"First time on 7". First time on 45 for this lesser-known tune, Freddie's classic 'Pretty Looks' sung on the same heavy Roots Radics rhythm used for Barrington Levy's classic 'Englishman.' Another one from the fruitful Wright/Lawes partnership that never saw its intended NYC release until now."

"First time reissue of this killer mid '80s LP cut at Philip Smart's HC&F studio in NYC. A solo album by Wiss from Israel Vibration made during a period when the group had parted ways, this one features nine vocals and one dub. A balanced mix of hard rhythms and more mellow cuts, this is a proper album made as such, and a great listen all the way thru."

"Another previously unreleased bomb on one of the dozens of killer Radics rhythms of the period, this one familiar from other cuts by Barrington Levy and Mystic Eyes. Leroy Smart may be Jamaica's finest ever when it comes to freestyling some simple lyrics on a hard rhythm, yet another piece of evidence here."

"Previously unreleased. Killer mid '80s Johnny Clarke, produced by Jah Life in the mid '80s on a trip to England at Ariwa Studio. The rhythm should be familiar to serious roots heads, updated for the time with some sick synths. Never released until now."

"Previously unreleased. More heat from a true 'three the hard way' -- Mr. Smart, Roots Radics, Scientist. We always felt Leroy Smart sounds best on these type of hard rhythms, and here's another fine example. Recorded early 1980's, first time out."

"First time on 7" for this massive cut from NYC's top female deejay, originally appearing on her classic Black Cinderella LP. Voiced on Jah Life's killer lick of one of our all-time favorite rhythms, and back with a previously unreleased dub cut in a dubplate style -- slow raw drum & bass vibes."

"First time reissue of Kaya Dub from 1975, noted as the first ever proper dub LP pressed and released in New York City. The eponymous LP is among the first set of releases on the KAYA label. This imprint was the first to showcase the partnership of Percy Chin and Hyman 'Jah Life' Wright as producers and cornerstones of the burgeoning NYC reggae scene of the day. Though these tracks originate from Jamaica thru a connection with Pat 'Jah Lloyd' Francis and have also been released elsewhere, this is none the less a killer selection of dubs from King Tubby's and Randy's studios. In sound and visuals, Kaya Dub serves as a fantastic snapshot of the music and vibes of roots reggae in the mid '70s, among the best dub LPs of its time."

"The infamous and legendary Jah Life in Dub LP, finally released. Originally slated for release in late '80/early '81, this was to be Jah Life's first dub LP, featuring all exclusive mixes to now-classic Barrington Levy tunes. For one reason or another, the LP was never released. To confuse matters, a couple years later, some of the unused jackets were given to Germain to house an untitled dub LP of his productions. Naturally, we needed to rectify this situation. So here it is, finally released 34 years later! Featuring ten killer dubs to Barrington Levy tunes, ALL MIXED BY SCIENTIST AT KING TUBBY'S. Six out of the ten tracks are previously unreleased mixes, including a dub to the song 'Jah Life' which has never been available anywhere before."

"Totally killer previously unreleased dub companion LP to Flick Wilson's School Days LP. Jah Life was no slacker when it came to mixing dubs, and sat in with Scientist at King Tubby's for the mixing of many of the classic Junjo/Radics/Scientist albums. But more importantly, they also mixed a ton load of dubs for Jah Life himself, many of which, like this album, remain unreleased... until now! Nine out of ten tracks from the Flick Wilson album are dubbed here, and one track from the Wayne Jarrett's What's Wrong With the Youths album. Classic Scientist 1980-style mixing, nothing else like it, hard stuff. Cover features a fantastic previously unseen photo from Beth Lesser."
