Palmistry is the project of London-based vocalist, songwriter, and producer Benjy Keating, known for his stripped-back pop and forward-thinking production. His second album Afterlife was written in a heatsick haze in Athens, Greece and the Mixpak Studios in Brooklyn, NY. The album further pushes his knack for intimate and heartfelt earworms that grapple with disconnection, devotion and the emotions in between. While his debut album PAGAN (2016) was a self-contained effort, with Afterlife, Palmistry cracks the door open to some accomplished friends who bring their own colors and textures to his singular world. There's the woozy anthem "Water" produced by SOPHIE, "Tru Luv", a duet with Miami-based vocalist Toian and produced by Benny Blanco, as well as assistance from Ghanaian artist Klu, Cashmere Cat, and Mechatok. Afterlife is pop at the edges, with poetry at the core, evoking bodily sensations, lucid dream states and fractured memories -- the slice of an orange, the patter of rain on a car roof and the crushing weight of city life.

Vybz Kartel's Kingston Story, produced by Mixpak founder Dre Skull, is a rare example of a dancehall LP that is more than a collection of singles. Its tracks act as an overview of the many sides of Kartel -- the lover, the party starter, and the astute social critic. Backed by Dre Skull's booming production, Kingston Story's hits, including the sensual plea "Yuh Love", the dance floor anthem "Go Go Wine," and the ecstatic love song "Half On A Baby", can still be found booming out of cars and sound systems from Kingston to New York City and beyond. Originally released in 2011 and out of print for years, Mixpak has repressed Kingston Story as a high-quality double album.

Four of Florentino's most sought-after club bootlegs are finally available to the world, on the limited Contrabando. Inspired by grime's white label culture, where top DJs competed to acquire the freshest exclusives, Contrabando takes a series of modern dance floor classics and blends them with Florentino's signature mutant reggaeton. Iconic samples collide with double-time dembows, twisted vocal samples, fluttering synths, and heavyweight sub bass. A treatise on the recent history of global pop music that sounds best played loud in a dark club, Contrabando is true sound system music for the 23rd century.

UK producer Murlo follows his 2015 vocal EP Jasmine with the instrumental Odyssey, his boldest artistic statement to date. Eight tracks deep, Odyssey is a winding journey through Murlo's fantastical world, where weighty bass, soaring melodies, and frenetic percussion all hold positions of power. The lead track, "Moodswung," constructs a maze of memorable melodies in a harp-laden dreamscape. "Cascade" is a club tune as intricate as a symphony, with synths running over each other with the urgency and beauty of a waterfall. With the majesty of "Lanced," the melodic freneticism of "Hunter," the other-worldliness of "High Rise," and the club delirium of "Furnace," this is signature Murlo -- instantly recognizable yet never predictable. Odyssey is a record free of genre; it's uncompromising yet accessible experimental electronica at its best, firmly establishing Murlo as a unique figure in the UK underground. Cover art by Murlo.
