Celebrating otherness, E B U casts a universe of her own both sonically and visually. Defying any one genre, she refers to her distinct sound as "swamp pop". Unnatural sounds and pitches exhale in melodic chants, ominous basslines resound and eerie loops fixate in this macabre ensemble. You are captive in her world. Moments of haunting clarity keep you wondering where she will take you next whilst strange narratives unfold. Her chameleonic visual display is charged with emotion, keeping you suspended in a state of flux as she orbits through the spectrum. Stimulated by human behavior and existence she questions the very nature of being, and invites the audience to explore through her cathartic performance. Her sound captures elements of the radiophonic qualities by electronic pioneers such as Delia Derbyshire, through to unlikely melody and harmony akin to that of Ryuchi Sakamoto or Laurie Anderson. It's an exploration of strange places with a weird and wonderful sphere, sonically capturing the colorful intensity of Alejandro Jodorowsky's Holy Mountain (1973), or perhaps sounding like a much more out-there, much more convincingly extra-terrestrial Space Lady... These are just vague comparisons though... Essentially, her sound is a total world of its own. Hinge, E B U's debut album, is an outer body experience that will conjure up memories you never had before, images you can't quite place but somehow relate to, and a sense of sweet disorientation as you slip into a whirlpool of shape-shifting melody, harmony and frequency.

The latest project to rise out of Bristol, Spiritflesh is the brainchild of Julian "DJ October" Raymond-Smith and Boris "Borai" English. The culmination of countless hours spent in an infamous basement studio full of old machines, BBC-grade reverbs, delays, phasers and little known mixing technique, Spiritflesh are now presenting their eponymous piece. Taking in a host of sounds, the pair have truly blurred the conventions of influences and spawned a sonic that is all theirs. Phased, delayed and crashed through red-hot electronics, their sonic is at a constant boiling point, doubled in menace via evocation, constantly spewing and spitting like a skeletal, fog-riddled construct of otherwordly ambience, guttural bassline and rhythm. Dream-like, yet crushingly physical, their sound is a cerebral kind of music that touches, with great conviction, on ideas of life, death and the in-between. Mixed at BB Studios, mastered and cut by Lewis at Stardelta. Edition of 300, screenprinted, in antistatic bag with sticker and download.

180-gram 12". Standalone edition of Space Loops by Filter Dread, the second 12" in the 2014 From The Reels: A NoCorner Collection four-disc set. First released as a cassette in 2013. Twenty years of source material deconstructed and recomposed through a maze of appropriately archaic technology for 40 minutes of tense, jungle-rooted experimentation. Cut as one continuous groove per side, this music flows uninterruptedly, offering the same listening experience as the cassette. It's also been beautifully remastered by Lewis at Stardelta and is easily loud enough for the DJs. Includes download code. Printed sleeve designed by Studio Tape-Echo. Limited edition of 500.

Having previously released a cassette and a 7" (NC 7001EP, 2013) on the label, Jabu return to No Corner with a slowly turning piece about lovesickness and longing. From the first beat through the final chorus, the brooding tension and almost unbearable tranquility of chester giles's words amplify the heaviness of the rhythm, controlling time until Alex Rendall, the voice of Jabu, joins with the chorus. "Achingly smooth," as Steve Barker puts it. Mastered by Lewis Hopkin at Stardelta via Ampex tape machine. Single-sided 7" in hand-numbered printed sleeve. Front cover designed by Amos Childs. Center label and layout by Studio Tape-Echo. Edition of 500.

Two crucial cuts from the Systemwide vaults of the late '90s and early '00s. The searing "Provisional (Dub)" is a heavily loaded piece of bass-and-drum-centric dubwise music originally released in 1999 on the Systemwide Meets Muslimgauze at the City of the Dead 12". The shimmering "Pan American Midnight Sun Remix" of "Ripe Up" is centered around introspective melodica and isolated bass guitar, with shreds of the percussion escaping through an array of effects. Written and performed live by Systemwide. Mixed by Josh Derry. Remastered via ½-inch tape by Lewis at Stardelta. Triple-stamped brown paper sleeve. Vinyl only.
