"Ox Rider Records follow up on the success of its first release with another double A-side from label boss, DJ and producer Whistla. 'My Father and I' contains two tracks which test the traditional dubstep mould; truly distinctive beats from Whistla's East London studio. 'My Father and I' sees Whistla laying down an anthem for the slacker generation. A subtle exploration of dubstep's softer side with sub bass combining with delicate lush melodies and somber strings. The track provides excellent off kilter ammunition for dubstep DJs wanting to treat dancefloor dubsteppers to something different from the usual wobblers. On the flip, bright, rich chords couple with a sick dubbed-out bassline to make 'Arnold's Dub' a hard skankin', heads down anthem. With playful percussion backing up the boom of the kick and snap of the snare, 'Arnold's Dub' is a tune which will send you to bass heaven and leave you humming the bass line for weeks. With both tracks having been regularly rinsed out on dubplate in raves and on radio for the past few months, this plate is an essential purchase for the dubstep massive."

"Ox Rider Records is the new label from underground DJ/producer Whistla. A - '7th Ray Dub': A deep and dark voyage into stepper rhythms and ground-shaking sub basslines, with a sample that tells you it could only be a Whistla production. A dance floor killer with regular plays on SUB FM, BreaksFM etc... AA - 'Thuggee': Already an anthem. This track is the 'Thuggee! Worship Kali' one! To quote one reviewer -- 'One of the most twisted and beautifully executed samples ever'. If you haven't heard it on dubplate you have been missing out! With support from all quarters this track is one you can't let slip by!"
