This release was originally scheduled to come out on Tigersushi a few years back, but got delayed and delayed...here it is finally in a slightly camouflaged presentation. The traditional More G.D.M. soundclash gets even more freeform with this seminal take on early '90s warehouse/acid house music featuring, within a ten years' span, the most promising talents of the times. The A-side is a timeless warehouse jam (from 1990) that mixes Andrew Weatherall (Two Lone Swordsmen) with the brilliance of Kevin Shields. The track is "Soon (Andrew Weatherall mix)" -- It was available on a previously ultra-rare EP (Glider Remixes) and is an absolute tearjerker. A strong warehouse vibe, relaxed beat and hooky vocal sample provide the core of this all-time classic. On the flip, Krikor blends the raw and funky attitude of a Prince-tinged beat and the acid reverie of an Adonis classic into one brilliant gem. [due to weird licensing issues, the artist shown on the a-side of this record is "Your Lovely Eglantine"...]
