Taking inspiration from a vast musical sphere, the Munich-Vienna pair Jorkes are widely-recognized for their open-minded and passionate approach to electronic music which is translated through their Freeride Millennium imprint and own unique productions. Cross The Line will be the duo's first outing since 2016 seeing them join up with the Italian pair Hard Ton who are known for releases on Wonder Stories, Luv Shack Records, Toy Tonics, and many more. Jorkes invite Live At Robert Johnson artist Massimiliano Pagliara and Philpot founder SoulPhiction, aka Jackmate, for remix duties which tops off this distinctive release highlighting the openness and sensibility of their musical philosophy. "Cross The Line" begins the EP with alleviating pads balanced harmoniously with alluring, heartwarming vocals and gentle keys drifting throughout before Massimiliano Pagliara delivers an infectious remix focusing on hypnotic bass grooves, effervescent drums and undulating pads fluttering naturally with the stirring modulations. Jackmate's "Dub Mix" deploys low-riding resonations fused with muffled tones and thrilling, shuffling rhythms within whereas Jackmate's "90s Mix" focuses heavily on organic percussion rolling throughout with robust musical elements and looping vocals. SoulPhiction's "Dub Mix" completes the pack with a tranquil take on the original laying focus on funk-infused instrumentals and subdued jazz drums keeping the atmosphere smooth yet enticing.

A terrific two-tracker from Manchester artist Joseph Louis Harland Manning under his new alias Los Angeles. Joseph Louis Harland Manning was the drummer of the band Wu Lyf and is involved in projects like Los Porcos, the Mancunian boyband Menage a Trois, and Dream Lovers. "L'amour" is a gentle cut that starts with celestial chords and wide-open expanses of synth before a deep groove slowly comes to the fore. "I Wanna Go To Heaven" is a gorgeous synth piece -- chords are smeared and stretched whilst angelic, wordless vocals drift by. White vinyl; Artwork designed by Daniel Rajcsanyi.

Oberst & Buchner, two Bavaria born, Vienna based producers, deliver an EP that offers their interpretation of what "modern summer togetherness sounds like". "Greg" starts with a breakbeat bath of summery chords, as playful claves dance on the horizon. It is a melodically rich track with spiritual feelings. On "Emile", night time arrives and warm chords mix with jangling, organic glass and percussive tinkles. "Embrace" is a fluid intergalactic convention with sparse drum kicks weighed down by somber synths. A skittish, dubstep style groove then comes in and elevates the track with gentle guitar licks and slithering synths.

Freeride Millenium link up with Pauls Musique for a perfectly formed new EP from Raphael Danilo featuring George Pappos. Lead single "Strangers" is eight spiritual and spooky minutes of spine-tingling and eerie synth music that take you on a trip with pixelated lines and undulating pads. German pair Innellea then step up to remix and brilliantly flip the cut into something just as epic and enchanting but with a mid-tempo, rubbery house beat. Nikkname re-works the whole thing into something minimal and absorbing. It's riddled with intricate sound design, tender piano keys, and the sound of static.

Philpot and Pauls Musique chief Tobias Ettle starts this year a new series of releases from young and well talented producers around the periphery of the label and record store. The range of musical direction will be very open-minded but in general there will be dub techno, deep and minimal techno as well as electronic beats with some Italo disco and experimental approach. First is done by Steppin' Wolf. With W.K. he drops a deep piece of techno with several acid splash and some kind of a "Boards Of Canada-feeling".
