"Pasquale Catalano's original soundtrack to Turkish-Italian film director, Ferzan Ozpetek's latest film, 2012's Magnifica Presenza (Magnificent Presence), with a special guest appearance by 'the queen of Turkish pop,' Sezen Aksu, on 3 tracks. Ozpetek, who first went to Italy in the 1970s to study film, soon worked his way up in the Italian film industry, directing his first film, Hamam, in 1997. Amazingly, in just a few short years, he had become one of Italy's most respected and award-winning directors. In 2008, the Museum of Modern Art in New York dedicated a retrospective to his films. He is one of very few Italian directors to receive this honor. Ozpetek first worked with Catalano on 2010's Loose Cannons (Mine Vaganti). Catalano also did the soundtrack to Richard J. Lewis' Barney's Version."
