"Long-awaited vinyl reissue of this enigmatic '70s-style hard rock private press record buried by the sands of time! A real gem for fans of classic hard rock like Jethro Tull or Wishbone Ash and even those into '70s epic metal and such mysterious obscurities as Legend (From the Fjords) or even guitar-driven southern rockers like The Outlaws. Hypnotic vocal hooks and a mystical atmosphere mixing acoustic and electric guitars lure you into this group's unmistakable hard rock sound and never let go. Ashbury were hidden treasure waiting to be unearthed when Rockadrome made contact over 5 years ago and re-released their masterpiece Endless Skies on compact disc. Since that time, they have regrouped to play Ragnarok festival in Chicago with resounding success and set off to Germany and Greece for two more celebrated festival appearances! Here Rockadrome brings you a near-exact vinyl reissue of the legendary 1983 debut album that collectors scour the earth for, brilliantly re-mastered and including an informative lyric insert and color poster."

"Raw crushing live recordings from 1976 by one of the Midwest's heaviest power trios of all time!!! The live recordings featured on Erupts! were originally released posthumously in the early 90s on a long out of print double album. It was also previously released by Rockadrome on compact disc minus a few tracks, now it's back, re-mastered for vinyl by Tony Reed (Mos Generator, Saint Vitus, Stoneaxe) and in its entirety. Now you can once again drop the needle and hear Billylee Janey plug in his '64 Gibson Firebird, power up his Marshall stacks, flip on his Echoplex and Univibe and take you on a journey back to 70s heavy rock nirvana. Steve Bock is there too, pumping out wicked Bruce/Bogert styled bass thump, along with Denis Bunce, holding it all together with his heavy handed skin work. It all adds up to one sweet trip back in time to a hazy nightclub in 1976 with Truth and Janey lighting the place on fire! Re-designed for the Vintage label with colorized artwork; including an 11x17 poster."

"About forty years in the making, and finally the world has the second Stepson album. Utilizing tapes preserved by drummer Len Fagan then transferred to digital and mastered by bassist Bruce Hauser, this fine collection of twelve songs is as close as the world will ever get to a real second Stepson album. Some is raw, some is embryonic, but it's all prime stuff for fans to savor, reflecting the band's devil may care attitude and rock 'n' roll lifestyle. And just in case you don't believe that the band liked to party, consider that the exact recording dates (and even some locations) have long been forgotten. To borrow an old adage: If you can remember Stepson, you weren't there. Kicking off with a crunching riff by guitarist Joey Newman, 'Danger Zone' is the heaviest track Stepson ever cut, replete with an ominous atmosphere reflecting the seedy side of their native Los Angeles; 'Streets of Alameda' (1974) is an ode to vocalist Jeff Hawks' hometown, featuring a liquor store holdup and a stolen Lincoln used as the getaway car. 'Flesh & Blood' is the only track on here that got an official release, albeit by ex-Smith belter Gayle McCormick as the title track to her second solo album, released by Decca in 1972. This version showcases the riff in full glory. And if you don't believe that this riff is strong, consider that The Tonight Show band played it for approximately two weeks in 1976, prompting Fagan to confront 'author' Don Menza, who coincidentally did the 'Flesh & Blood' album's horn charts and was now claiming credit for the song under the title 'Instant Heart.' The song disappeared from late night TV show shortly thereafter. 'Bad Situation,' the only other 1974 track, describes the band's predicament that year: a track that should have propelled them to the big time, but instead bounced off a brick wall like a tennis ball. The maracas and funkified quasi-Bo Diddley groove hint at Stepson's growth and what might have been."

"Reissue of this Minnesota based classic hard rock band's second album, originally released in 1977 on the Asi label. This is the follow up to their previously reissued and very popular Pound of Flesh album from 1975, known for it's pure classic hard rock sounds and controversial cover art. This powerful sophomore outing features frontman Jiggs Lee taking his vocals talents to new heights with the ever present monster guitar talents of Lloyd Forsberg remaining as forceful as ever. The band was recently inducted into the Mid-America Music Hall of Fame on September 17th, 2010 and performed a short live set at the ceremony. This was the first time they'd re-assembled as Cain in nearly 20 years. Their reformation was well received and they've continued to play various gigs in the region since the induction. As a bonus, we've included never-before-released Cain live tracks, recorded around the time of Stinger's original release."

"Long sought after and unreleased recordings from this raunchy '70s hard rock band whose 1974 debut album on ABC is highly sought after. A smashing collection of memorable tracks featuring hot growling guitar from Joey Newman and the awesome vocals of Jeff Hawks. Also with Bruce Hauser (bass) and Len Fagan (drums), ex-members of the group Touch, whose 1969 album is another hot commodity."

"Beautiful vinyl re-release of this psychedelic folk/funk beauty from 1973, featuring the gorgeous voices of Pat Gefell and Jo D. Andrews (and produced by Space Age percussionist/composer Dick Schory for his short-lived but influential Ovation Records imprint). At one time this was an album completely unknown outside of Chicago, where the label was based; but these days, word gets around, and tracks like 'Feel The Spirit' and 'Jenny' have been making the rounds on the DJ circuit. No matter what your musical taste is--psych-folk, funk, soft rock--this LP seems to have something special to offer. This is due in part to notable backing from veterans like bassist Phil Upchurch (Curtis Mayfield, Otis Rush, Stan Getz, Groove Holmes, and Cannonball Adderly), and space age pop maven Bobby Christian on drums and percussion. But primarily, the perfection that this album emanates is due to the clear voices and intelligent songs crafted by Gefell and Andrews. The replica LP version (another fine collaboration between Lion Productions and Rockadrome's Vintage Records) comes in an old style tip-on gatefold jacket with lyrics printed inside, and includes an insert packed with band history and rare photos. It is a quality vinyl pressing, newly mastered from the original tapes; the sad news: this LP version is limited to 750 copies."

"Collection of tracks from this early '70s post-Jerusalem UK hard rock group also managed and produced by Ian Gillan (Deep Purple). Includes songs from their lone single for the Deram label plus fourteen other previously unreleased recordings! After the disbanding of Jerusalem - (the rumors over the years said there was a second unreleased Jerusalem album - this is not true - it was actually the Pussy album) - Decca (Deram Label) decided to continue the Jerusalem contract for Pussy. The first and only Pussy release on Deram was a single entitled Feline Woman. The recordings found here represent what was to be the Pussy debut album plus other various tracks all recorded between 1972 and 1973." Includes a 20-page booklet of lyrics and vintage photos.

"Official reissue of sought after 1977 metallic sci-fi hard rock private press record, featuring ex-members of the psychedelic 60s group Paper Garden. Available again for the first time in over 30 years! Recorded and mastered during the summer of '76, Exposure was originally released in 1977 on their own 30th Century Fox label. Music fans re-discovered this gem sometime in the 90s and the original pressing has since become a record collector prize. The spacey punk vibe, sizzling guitar and snotty vocals give the album a unique and ear-catching sound for its time. Re-mastered for compact disc from the original tapes, the resulting sound is nothing short of killer! Play this one loud! Enjoy another fine addition to Rockadrome's Vintage label catalog."

"Deep from the underground of Texas psychedelia, The Liquid Sound Company returns from the depths yet again with a third album led by guitarist and doom guru John Perez (Solitude Aeturnus). Acid Music for Acid People is a culmination of newer studio recordings coupled with very rare live and demo recordings. Totally disregarding any trends in psychedelic or other forms of music, the band stretches out and produces a soothing and at times intense, mind altering stew fit for cosmic travels and massive mind meandering. Approaching these recordings with a direct line to higher key realms, Acid Music finds our favorite unknown Texas band keeping it simple with little or no overdubs, wrenching out a pure and raw connection to the psychedelic properties of the music. Sit back, fire up the lava lamps, pop those tabs and get ready to transport!"

"We are proud to be able to bring you the fantastic 2004 debut album from one of Sweden's most talented hard rock groups. Their finely honed sound is firmly planted in the classic heavy rock of the early '70s and draws on influences from groups like Led Zeppelin, Captain Beyond, Jethro Tull, Blind Faith and Deep Purple! These guys sound so convincing you'd be hard pressed to tell them apart from those that influence them or early '70s rock groups like Aunt Mary, November, Host, Kalevala, Young Flowers and others with that vintage Scandinavian heavy prog style. These guys are pure old school, right down to the fully analog recordings and tasteful use of organ and flute. Everything they release is of high quality, but this is probably their heaviest album overall and a good starting point because it just truly is a total and complete monster from start to finish! It's a no-brainer that fans of Witchcraft, Dead Man, Graveyard, Dungen, etc.. should check this out, but also just about anyone into classic '70s hard rock and prog would being doing themselves a disservice not to give this a listen. You'll be glad you did. This will be the band's first North American release!"

"First official release of early '70s Scottish underground heavy rock recordings from this group who were stomping around the UK with the likes of Black Sabbath, Hackensack, Pink Fairies, Juicy Lucy and others from the time, but never released a proper album. Their name, Iron Claw, was taken from the first line in King Crimson's song '21st Century Schizoid Man.' In the beginning, Iron Claw probably became the world's first Black Sabbath tribute band, as they incorporated the entire first Black Sabbath LP and single into their set! As they went on, their live sets included many originals as well as covers such as 'War Pigs,' 'Fairies Wear Boots,' 'Wicked World,' 'Green Manalishi' and 'Lady Whiskey.' This collection of sixteen original studio tracks documents their existence from 1970 through 1974 and features a wonderful 16-page booklet with extensive liner notes, lyrics and photos!"

"Official reissue of ultra-rare 1970 underground psychedelic rock record born out of the early New Jersey scene and fueled by the revolutionary air of the period. The sound is raw basement fuzz guitar charged rock in it's purest form, inspired by the likes of Cream, Blue Cheer, Jimi Hendrix, Nazz and others! Fueled by the revolutionary air that prevailed during his days at Rider College and the entrapment of marriage at a young age, Rob Russen drew upon his frustrations and anger as well as the influences of Jimi Hendrix, Cream, Blue Cheer, the Illusion, Steppenwolf, and Nazz among others of the era to create the material for Hard, Heavy, Mean & Evil. Russen recruited musicians Jimmy Moy (guitar/vocals), Bob Rittner (bass/vocals) and Lou Nunziatta (drums) to form the original lineup of Negative Space. Over a three year period, with minor variations, the group continued to perform, record and evolve into Snow. In the late '60s Rob Russen, with his cherry red Gibson SG, Baldwin Exterminator amplifier and fuzztone was a powerful force in the heavy rock emanating from the East Coast. Studio engineer Tony Pappa of MSI often commented about how difficult it was to contain and capture the power and fury of Russen's music on the four track equipment used on these recordings. Negative Space and Snow recorded on Castle Records, a small independent label formed by Russen in 1965. All recording were limited issue with only a thousand copies of each single and 500 copies of the original Hard, Heavy, Mean & Evil album released. With the release of the album, Negative Space toured the East Coast extensively, opening for such national recording acts as Steppenwolf, Vanilla Fudge, Three Dog Night, Rare Earth, Eric Burdon & War and Grand Funk Railroad."

"The first official reissue of this infamous metallic heavy rock album from 1972 produced by Deep Purple's legendary frontman, Ian Gillan. The music is a menacing combination of over-the-top vocals and screaming lead guitars that could easily pass for something from the early '80s new wave of British heavy metal scene, it's that far ahead of it's time. Originally released on the UK Deram/Decca label, and now a favorite among vinyl collectors, the album is presented here from the original master tapes and also features pre-album demos, alternate mixes and a non-lp single track. The 20-page color booklet contains liner notes written by bassist Paul Dean, lyrics, press clippings and rare photos! A must have for fans of '70s hard rock and also the early '80s NWOBHM sound."

Newly remastered and includes 4 bonus tracks and full color booklet with photos, extensive liner notes, and lyrics! Full tilt wah-wah fuzz guitar in all its glory! 'Aborigine guitarist Billy TK was the Jimi Hendrix of the Southern Hemisphere. He obviously took the lessons of the Master to heart and, on his albums with Human Instinct, took Hendrix's psychedelic approach to absurd new extremes. Not necessarily the greatest listening experience, but definitely the farthest "out" of any guitar psych you're likely to ever hear. This album is one of the most important chapters of rock from that era.'"
