Ultimo Domicilio (trans. "The Last Domicile") is the new work by Italian composer Emmanuele de Raymondi in collaboration with photographer Lorenzo Castore. Castore began the photographic journey in 2008 documenting 5 "domiciles" in Europe and the United States, each with a strong connection to stories of exile and war in European history. The collaboration between these two artists has produced an 18-minute video that explores the concept of individual and collective memory through the five domiciles. Each home, photographed by Castore, corresponds to an original composition by Emanuele de Raymondi. The tracks are titled with the name of the place itself: Finale (Italy), Fontenay (France), Brooklyn (United States), Sarajevo (Bosnia) and Krakow (Poland). De Raymondi's music finds its place between chamber music and avant-garde, using piano, guitars, and samplers. Through the images of Castore, De Raymondi creates a highly evocative path in which the five domiciles become sonic places. At times, extremely dense and layered, other times intriguingly sparse and minimal. Places of sound, places of history, places of the past... last domiciles. Castore's photographs were "animated" by Daniel Spano. Includes mp3 download code.

Vinyl edition on the U.S. label ZerOKilled Music with an mp3 download coupon. Italian goth-pop siren Tying Tiffany defies convention with her irresistible blend of post-punk, industrial and electronic music rooted in the ethos of DIY and experimentations in the visual arts. On her new album Drop, she crafts her own brand of dark, dreamy pop, full of buzzing synths, piercing vocals, and infectious electro-beats. The release will coincide with her SXSW 2014 showcases. Working under the moniker since 2005, the project often reaches beyond the music and visuals to explore themes of Dadaism, sexuality and feminist discourse. And even though the cited influences are extremely diverse, there is an atmosphere of darkness that runs through each movement, creating a shadowy cohesion through her material.

12" version with download code. One-sided release. Bushwick17 is a project by Costanza Francavilla and Alex Infascelli. It's a 17-minute improvisation session recorded in Bushwick on a summer afternoon with no additional edits, mixing, or effects. The idea is based on both artists' obsessions with the number 17: the concept was to freely capture 17 minutes of their day together, without any thought before the act or any extra sound manipulation after the act. Costanza placed two mics on the floor in the middle of the room -- facing the wall -- and played synthesizers while merging herself with dreamlike vocals into ambient floating textures. Alex turned on a fan that was abandoned in the studio, placed the electric guitar in front of it, creating ethereal drones, and moved from guitar atmospheres to abruptly exploding yet sultry drums patterns. The result is a hypnotic sonic journey into an indefinite condition of space and time.

This is the debut album from composer/sound artist Emanuele de Raymondi on New York City label ZeroKilled Music. On this album, De Raymondi interprets the evocative improvisations by Turkish virtuoso clarinetist Oguz Buyukberber through mesmerizing electronic manipulations. The only sound source of the 10 tracks that make up the album is Buyukberber's clarinet: the improvisation sessions were recorded by De Raymondi in Berlin in a unique architectural space, with a natural reverberation time of 10 seconds -- no digital effects or additional instruments were used during the composition. The sound of Buyukberber's clarinet is transformed and stratified by the experimental composer, resulting in a style that cohesively combines electronica, jazz, ambient and minimalism. With Buyukberber Variations, De Raymondi explores the relationship between sound, space and perception, pointing to new sonic directions that establish him as a brilliant new voice in contemporary music.
