Ilario Alicante has unveiled his brand new Luce EP, consisting of four fresh tracks on Cocoon Recordings. An integral member of the Cocoon family, Ilario Alicante has become a regular at Cocoon Ibiza, elrow and DC10 during his career so far. Comprised of the title track, a cosmic production packed with synth-laced flutters, and the more dancefloor-ready "Scelta", Ilario showcases his eclectic nature across the release. Using a high tempo, the Italian then rounds off the EP with the deeply atmospheric "Sensa", with the latter's rattles adding an intense nature to the production.

Italian techno maestro Ilario Alicante beats the shit out you with an extreme Detroit-flavored double-tracker, with remixes by Adventice and Mark Broom. Alicantes original's "Virgo Storm" and "Hypno" are based on a massive and masculine beat programming - feeding Rob Hood and Jeff Mills fans. Adventice's (DJ Deep, Romain Poncet) remix for "Virgo Storm" follows this direction, however it leaves out the manic synth elements and incorporates even more peak-time floor-action-sounds. Mark Brooms remix for "Hypno" introduces a cool, deep-dark, and filtered organ bassline that adds a hypnotic touch in contrast to the cheeky and nasty original by Ilario Alicante.

Ilario Alicante delivers another EP of minimal techno beats to rock and hypnotize. "Thera" is a massive techno monster with a mental synth line and FX-loaded spoken-word vocals. Steve Rachmad joins Alicante for remix action here and adds a cool and bassy organ line together with freaked-out feedback-delays, adding a cool Detroit touch. Speaking of Detoit, Alicante's "Argo" proves the "Berlitalian" can go deeper, too, with warm analog synths and funky, jazzy drum programming. The stomping, merciless "Encouter" inhabits the energetic and minimal technofield, following the vibe of "Thera" with driving 909 techno rides and a crazy synth line.

The Tuscan techno-wunderkind Ilario Alicante has made an amazing progression from an insider's tip to one of the most wanted Italian tech-house-DJs at the moment. Alicante tracks are fully focused on their floor potential, however, with just the right musical spice. Elements of house, techno and various influences from all the good productions out of Chicago, Berlin, Detroit or Frankfurt -- you will find it here. "Wax Weapon" is a great weapon for all those open-air floors and is based on a mystic sawtooth synth-line. In contrast, "XYXY" is built on a nice and fat house chord. Includes remixes by Rødhåd and Ryan Elliott.
