Fuckpony picks up the origins of electronic dance music and transfers them into the now-world of sound. Matthew Styles, the second half of the label Crosstown Rebels, is a great DJ who digs a rather unmixed and experimental style. Jamie Jones is on board for a version of "Lady Judy" as well and together they hit the hi-hat like there is no tomorrow. The voice on "Lady Judy" is Lil Dirrty Ghetto Bastard -- the ex-street hustler, now house MC and rapper from Philly. That his voice sounds distorted, like being on laughing gas is not just a coincidence -- it's inspired by everyone's darling Judy whose love for that special gas is notorious.
