"After a very long and mysterious journey it's finally here: The debut album of Danish heavy hippie hardrockers Fuzz Manta. You take two guitars, mix them up with bass and drums, and finally you add one powerful female vocal. Stir it all up for a while with blues, hardrock, stoner and an over all heavy hippie approach to life, send it out on a number of adventures along the highways and offroads of Denmark, Austria and Germany and you end up with Smokerings. Fuzz Manta is five devoted musicians united by their deep dedications and desires in music. All five members have contributed to the songwriting on Smokerings, and this results in a huge variation in the repertoire. A great trademark for this album is the variety within each song. Fuzz Manta use several ideas within each song, taking the listener to new and unforeseen places all the time, although always bound together by their melodic, heavy sound. And Fuzz Manta's influences are wide: Individual inspiration comes from everything in between The Beatles, Motorpsycho, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Hendrix, Ritchie Blackmore, Free, Kyuss, Jefferson Airplane, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and even Tool. Allow yourself to join Fuzz Manta on this album made of pure soul and heart. Smokerings is the baby of a long lasting love of playing and composing. Although a pretty young band (Fuzz Manta was formed in late 2006) the musicians have many years of experience from a wide range of other bands (a few mentioned: The Davolinas, Cherry Overdrive, Triggerbells, Aron, Hellroute 16). Smokerings is a do-it-yourself production and the band has been deeply involved in every step of the process from songwriting to recording and mixing."
