"Platzgumer -- known as multi active musician -- has done a few hand full collaborations with several musicians at Son Montuno between 99 and 02 -- his home-based studio at the shore of the 3 country lake Bodensee. The result is an excellent electronica/down beat up to typically platzgumeresk dark funk dub tracks packed album cribbed with skills of likes such as Doc Nachtstrom (Mego), Superbonbon (Noise Product), Anne Laplantine, just to name a few. He processed in the new songs, whether based on pop gravity (Software) or dub deep diving (Feeling The Ice), the versatily quoted '80s on a very own level. Never he would get caught by their hooklines, rather gives their experienced influences space that can be honored. Moreover, Platzgumer steps on multi cultural paths never heard from him before. As a broadband producer he puts this time even house breaks on hip hop beats and tops the track by an Arabian vocal line (Chebba). What else to say? It is an offensive year of Platzgumer, and thus the album Software follows harmoniously to Platzgumer:Shaw which is obviously the new main project of him. In any case POP is spelled in capitals, but pronounced in Platzgumer's language."
