"'Not since Byrne and Eno 25 years ago have two minds captured the art of tape sampling so effectively as Starting Teeth do here." --XLR8R. Originally released in Switzerland in February, Starting Teeth is a collaboration project between electronic producers Childe Grangier and Nathan Jonson, aka Hopen & Hrdvsion, who together represent Pacific and Atlantic united in the quest of doing their thing freely. Canadian Nathan Jonson is better known under the pseudonym Hrdvsion. With several killer EPs on Wagon Repair (run by none other than his brother Matthew), ItIsWhatItIs and Plak, remix credits for the likes of Dominik Eulberg, Milanese and Hot Hot Heat to name a few, Hrdvsion has forged a reputation in the electronic and techno scene on a worldwide level. French producer Childe Grangier, known as Hopen, released the critically-acclaimed album We Are Singing For Hurrays on Arbouse, praised by international medias, as well as numerous EPs on labels like Mental Groove and Plak. To not do what they can do, Grangier & Jonson have joined forces to create some next century haunted dancefloor sounds for twisted leg groovers, using a free combination of sounds collected on virtual worldwide adventure, featuring guests including Danuel Tate of Cobblestone Jazz and Oliver Mental Groove. What makes the Starting Teeth project so fresh is their unique and futuristic vision and execution of electronic music, with their special mixture of free -- electronica, humorous mental techno, and breaks and cuts, creating an imaginative and groundbreaking style which will break your ankles if you try dancing to it."
