In 1983, he put together a revised line-up featuring Wynton Marsalis (trumpet), Branford Marsalis (tenor and soprano saxophone), Ron Carter (bass), and Tony Williams (drums). That remarkable quintet is featured on this remarkable set, originally broadcast on NHK Radio, Japan. The entire broadcast is presented here, digitally remastered, with background notes and images.
