Biophon Records announces the release of Love and Terror in the Wilderness by artist Nina Nielsen. On a little stage in a fish factory on the island of Utsira in the North Sea, in September 2011, Nina Nielsen opened the electronic music festival A Day at the Lighthouse. Geir Jenssen of Biosphere heard her set and suggested releasing her music on his own label, Biophon. Love and Terror in the Wilderness is her first record. Nina Nielsen was born in Stony Plain, Alberta. She's a writer and musician. Child of undecided emigrants, she grew up moving between Norway and Canada, and touring in North America, Europe, and Asia as a member of various folk groups. She has recorded and collaborated with various bands and artists, most recently with Thomas Dybdahl as support on his That Great October Sound, 10 Year Anniversary Tour. Her demo tracks have been featured on NRK URØRT and on the CBC Vinyl Café. This album was recorded and produced by Morten J. Olsen (of MoHa!, Ultralyd) and Thomas Dybdahl.
