2012 release. Dual Capacity is the first recorded output by the duo of London-based artist Shelley Parker and curator and electronic musician Paul Purgas. The project acts as a meeting point for Parker's background in sound installation and digital technology with Purgas's exploration of customized hardware and analog modes of production. The EP explores the potential for dense, rigid percussive structures to operate as a framework for non-grid-based electronics, and investigates aspects of texture and tonality alongside ritualistic approaches to sound.
