Sydney-based producer Thomas William has been active since the early 2000s, inspiring such artists as Seekae, Cliques, and Cassius Select. This collection of rhythmic studies features Lamtech9 and Kid Kairo, who both regularly attend Lion Mountain Studio, a community recording space for young people in Sydney's Sierra Leonean community where William volunteers. Chun Yin (aka Rainbow Chan) contributes vocals to "Tuition," a track that reflects William's interest in testing aesthetic standards; in his words, "how far can you go with just a minor triad, or a straight arpeggio, or a few tuned drum sounds? Can you undercut and reclaim musical clichés?"
