Just in time for the theatrical release is the soundtrack to the highly-anticipated documentary Bar25 -- Tage Ausserhalb Der Zeit (trans. "Bar 25 - Days Out Of Time"), which documents the history and subsequent closing of the legendary Bar25 club in Berlin. The house label Bar25 collected exclusive tracks from their inner circle of musicians to be incorporated into the film. The result was a remarkable collection of works from different genres of music -- a unique assemblage of musical contributions from long-time compatriots of this exceptional location. Contents of the sampler is divided into two worlds: the dancefloor and the circus. Even when Bar25 was open for business, these were the two core elements of the club, housed in its own individual atmosphere. The dancefloor was the central point of Bar25, where many DJs played the longest set of their lives. The circus was the counterpart to all who wanted to retreat into a fantasy world. Here, bands played, there was cabaret, theater and cinema. On ceremonial occasions, legendary confetti battles were staged. True to this division, on this compilation there are two CDs: CD1 for the "Bar" features 11 club tracks, whose range of exclusive, unreleased songs were the anthems of the last bar-seasons. CD2's "Circus" is a dazzling collection of 15 special songs that alternate through many different, colorful styles of music and reflect what Bar25 "Circus" was like. Like the film itself, this compilation captures the small legacy of Bar25 for all eternity -- that you will put on the shelf and revive from time to time to get those feelings back again. Artists include: Acid Pauli, Soil Ain't Solid (feat. Reecode), Oliver Koletzki, Marcus Meinhardt, Nu (feat. JoKe), Niconé & Sascha Braemer, Dirty Doering, Nico Stojan, Channel X, Britta Arnold, Daniel Dreier & Dale, Jake The Rapper, Wareika, Budzillus, Kiki Bohemia, Hey-O-Hansen, Pilocka Krach, Jahcoozi, dOP, Lee Jones, Margaret Dygas, Don Shtone, Rizzoknor, Beaner and Capey Cash.

Fingerprints is the debut full-length release by Berlin's Brian Cares for the Bar25 label. This album is the result of sessions with an international roster of artists and friends, and it shows another aspect of Brian Cares' output. His affair with audio started in the late '90s. Inspired by the sounds of pop music he heard on the radio in the '80s, he began his career as a studio assistant. While making first attempts at producing backing tracks for commercial productions, he also developed his DJ career. His DJ sets became as versatile as his general music understanding, and he started landing pieces in national TV commercials. The sessions which would eventually become Fingerprints began in 2005, as a way to escape the more business-oriented aspects of music-making -- the aim was just to have fun and collaborate with other professional artists to produce a sound he's always had in his head. Fingerprints is the artist's personal playground to fool around with ideas and stories, inspired by the work of Quincy Jones, Frank Farian, Brian Burton, Matthew Herbert and Brian Eno, just to name a few. Most material on this album was recorded at Brian's home-studio from 2005 to 2007. Remixing the material was done using an analog mixing-board, high-end audio gear and tape-machines. The result is a smorgasbord of celebratory, danceable tracks that combine tribal beats, horns, vocoders, gentle guitars, popping synths, and pop/r&b vocals that will adapt in any club, anywhere. Guest vocalists include Howard Katz, Justine Electra, Jake The Rapper and Raz Ohara.

"Matt John is back with a new stunning piece of minimal techno. Stretching over more than eleven minutes, 'Olga Dancekowski' is another psychedelic journey through the hypnotic sounds of Mr. John, where little bleepy sequences accumulate a twisted impact for the eager souls on the floor. His buddy Matthew Dear (aka Audion) does need no further introduction. His remix is as twisted but he unleashes more eerie dancefloor frenzy. But listen for yourselves and enjoy."
