BOUQ 010CD
|
This is the second full-length album from Mainz-based Butch. To capture the duality of his sounds that oscillate between under and over, techno and house, spirituality and marketability, club and home stereo, to celebrate the everyday high and question it at the same time, is just one of the many talents and specialities of this particular DJ and producer. This and much more is the starting point for a terrific album by Bülent Gürler himself on his very own, newly-founded imprint, BOUQ. Quadratically inspired, he dives into the diversity of 1,009 nights, not only inviting well-known collaborators like the classical house singer Virginia into his studio but also a new discovery: the violinist Julie Marghilano, who Butch met in London and whose musical talent strikes more than a chord, letting the enchanting "Feline" grow into a true masterpiece. Going beyond the obviousness of pleasant sounds and diving into the small print of the album, you will encounter fascinatingly joyful details which turn the tight-knit sound carpet ride into a magic trip. To take the tragedy of life with a pinch of salt is one this artist's biggest talents. He manages to make the listener smile about the biggest failures of our times, or even laugh about them.

BOUQ 004EP

"Bouq. invited some friends to contribute to the first Family And Friends EP on Bouq.records and the results were more than just pleasing. The Hamburg-based Samuel Kindermann, better known as Einmusik offered the tune 'Jabloko' which has already been rocking the Ibizan floors for the last months and takes us on a lovely ride through the sound-universe. Grooving beat, feelfull guitar loop and distant, searching vocals, make this tune an emotional and unifying experience for the floors. 'Kumbha' by the Cadenza artists Mendo & Danny Serrano is a driving song with so much energy, it is hard to contain your own. You have to release what this song gives you on input! Hands in the air, hug your friends and enjoy these superbly interacting sounds. The family side includes none other than our very own Sebastian Lutz, who has made fans such as Carl Craig, Dubfire, Laurent Garnier and Loco Dice with his productions on labels such as Do Easy Records and BCB Tec. His debut on the label he runs together with Amir, Butch and Chris Laut was only a matter of time and the wait was worth its while. 'Kachina' gets out those driving, dirty percussions and drums, a round and grooving bass and some shouting kids to animate every last one in the club to join in the fun. As suspected, Butch couldn't keep himself from contributing and decided to remix Einmusik's 'Jabloko' for this musical excursion. Like a trip to the seaside, it has a soothing atmosphere, but never loses focus of its groove or crisp percussions. This is where the Bouq.family and friends trip ends for now."

BOUQ 003EP

"Early love by: Loco Dice, Martinez, Mathias Kaden, DJ Hell, Brother's Vibe, DJ T, Nic Fanciulli, Turntablerocker, MANDY, Kabale und Liebe, Gregor Tresher, Stephan Bodzin, Gorge. Italians love Butch, Butch loves Italians and Butch is a part of bouq. So it comes to no surprise that sooner or later an Italian artist would hand in some demos for bouq.records. The only surprise is that the first demo coming from Italy exceeded everyone's expectations by miles and is set to be a big festival destroyer around the world -- mind blowing hit material built for the summer months! The Italian's name is Andrea delle Monache, better known as A.D.M., 23 years of age. In his short life he already topped the Beatport charts with his hit 'Aired' and has been in all the big name's playlists such as Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Sven Väth, Ricardo Villalobos and Loco Dice with his releases on Sphera and Polar Noise. Now with Granada his debut on bouq.records he is ready to get his name set on the map and will surely be blessed with a big success. The driving beat, nicely interacting drums and bass are bedded in a great and very subtle room of atmosphere and gets its kicks with the fun-bringing brass section combined with a dubby chord and a few surprises. Simone Cristini, also from Italy, made a fantastic trippy remix. The driving, spherical, groove meets the light-hearted brass section and takes us on a musical ride also including the sexy female vocal. Many small effects keep us surprised, but the song could easily do without. A unique interpretation of A.D.M.'s original without any loss of quality or effectiveness -- big summer tune as well! Butch had to pay tribute to these songs which have been rocking his sets now for the last two months and made another hypnotizing, atmospheric song, which in no way takes itself too seriously. The looped children vocals combined with this fantastically propellent groove make the bouq.records A&R a sure-shot on the floor in and outside."
