LP version. The story of The 2nd Coming begins in the late 1960s, when psychedelic music was sweeping across America. While California became the epicenter, a parallel scene was quietly exploding in Florida -- fueled by young musicians inspired by the British Invasion and artists like Hendrix and Cream, yet searching for a heavier, more original sound. In Sarasota and Bradenton, a tight-knit group of players gathered around a small venue called Club Toro. Among them were Larry Reinhardt, Reese Wynans, Richard "Hombre" Price, Berry Oakley, and Dickey Betts -- musicians who would soon help shape what the world would later call Southern rock. What started as cover bands quickly evolved into something louder and more experimental. Out of this scene came two interconnected bands: The Load and The Second Coming (featuring Dickey Betts and Berry Oakley). By 1968, both groups had relocated to Jacksonville, Florida, sharing houses, stages, and an emerging musical vision. Their live shows -- especially at legendary local spots like the Forrest Inn -- became marathon jam sessions, drawing crowds of up to 2,000 people and attracting players like Duane Allman, Butch Trucks, and Jaimoe. These collaborations would ultimately lead to the formation of The Allman Brothers Band, while the remaining members continued forging their own path -- raw, heavy, and deeply rooted in blues, psychedelia, and improvisation. In April 1969, a new, revamped line-up of the Second Coming -- rechristened as The 2nd Coming -- and featuring Larry Reinhardt (guitar), Reese Wynans (organ), Richard "Hombre" Price (bass) plus two drummers (Monty Young and John Meeks), entered Sound Laboratory in Jacksonville to record what would become the Evaluations album. But when the band couldn't pay the $6,000 studio bill, the album was shelved. A failed trip to New York to secure a deal sealed its fate, and the band soon dissolved. The master tapes were left behind -- lost and forgotten for decades. The legend might have ended there -- until the late 1990s, when the original master tape was rediscovered in a storage archive. Purchased by the former band members, the recordings were finally back in their rightful hands. After years of remaining unheard, the project has now been fully restored and released in collaboration with Guerssen Records, bringing this powerful, long-lost recording to light for the very first time. Sourced from the original masters, featuring artwork in silver foil by artist Fez Moreno. Includes insert with liner notes by original member Richard 'Hombre' Price. Includes download card.

Blastin' underground hard-rock from Canada, 1972, ultra-raw guitars and vocals. Ellison were a Montréal-based hard-rock/heavy-blues band emerging from Québec's late '60s psychedelic scene. With just one album to their name, they left behind a powerful legacy and a rapidly growing cult following. The band's origins trace back to 1967, when bassist Richard Arcand and vocalist Vincent Marandola played together in Johnny Peace. In 1969, guitarist Christian Vaeillant and drummer Robert Cager joined forces with them, forming Ellison. Closely tied to l'Association des Orchestres -- a collective led by Jean-Claude Brosseau dedicated to Québec's underground movement -- Ellison quickly became part of a rising wave of hard-rock and psychedelic blues acts redefining the local scene. By 1971, Ellison were building momentum through relentless live performances across college campuses and schools, earning a strong following. In 1972, the band entered the studio with the Supreme label to record their first and only album. Released that same year, the record captured the raw intensity and spirit of their live shows. On March 31, 1973, Ellison performed what would become their last known show in Montréal. Shortly after, they disappeared without a trace from the live circuit, leaving behind a single album and a lasting reputation within Québec's underground. Featuring original artwork in hard cardboard sleeve. Newly sourced/remastered sound. Includes insert with liner notes and photos.

RELEASE DATE: 6/19/2026
Pioneering compilation/concept album from 1968 featuring key psychedelic bands from San Francisco. A real fest of fuzzed-out psychedelia , garage and folk-rock. Conceived by legendary (and controversial) producer Matthew Katz, Fifth Pipe Dream Volume I is a groundbreaking psychedelic album from 1968 that blurs the line between compilation and concept record. Featuring a rotating cast of Katz's San Francisco Sound artists, it encapsulates the creativity and experimental spirit of the Bay Area at its lysergic peak. Rather than a traditional various-artists compilation, Fifth Pipe Dream was designed as a unified listening experience -- multiple bands contributing to a single, flowing psychedelic journey. At a time when this format was virtually unheard of, Katz assembled a genre-defying release that still feels ahead of its time. The album brings together key underground acts from the late '60s psychedelic scene from San Francisco. The album moves seamlessly across styles while maintaining a cohesive, trippy atmosphere. Released in November 1968 under Katz's San Francisco Sound imprint, the album reflects both the creative explosion -- and the business controversies -- of the era. Katz famously controlled band names and recordings, leading to miscredited tracks and ongoing legal disputes with artists like Moby Grape and Jefferson Airplane. Despite (or because of) this, Fifth Pipe Dream stands as a fascinating snapshot of a scene in flux -- where artistic ambition, experimentation, and industry tensions collided. Though no follow-up volume ever appeared, Fifth Pipe Dream remains a cult cornerstone of the original San Francisco psychedelic era. Carefully remastered sound. Original artwork in gatefold sleeve. Four-panel color insert with detailed liner notes and photos/memorabilia. Featuring It's A Beautiful Day, San Francisco Sound House Band, Tripsichord Music Box, West Coast Natural Gas, and Black Swan.

RELEASE DATE: 6/19/2026
Whatever Happened To...? by Dave (a duo comprised of Peter Harknett and Russell Elliott) has become one of the most elusive and sought-after modern psychedelic records among collectors of DIY and late-'60s-inspired psychedelia. Recorded in a converted garage studio in North London by two vinyl-obsessed friends operating under complete anonymity, the album offers a rare balance of lo-fi intimacy, homemade experimentation and authentic psychedelic vibe. Deeply inspired by psychedelia, folk-rock and krautrock (think Pretty Things, S.F.Sorrow, Barret-era Floyd, Gene Clark, Popol Vuh, Hawkwind, Koobas), the record feels less like a retro revival and more like a lost private press artifact from another era. Dreamy vocals, fuzzed out guitars, effects, long tracks, stoned vibe -- It will appeal equally to fans of '60s-'70s psychedelia, '90s shoegaze and bands like Spacemen 3/Flying Saucer Attack. The original album was mixed live by four hands straight from the mix desk without any studio gadgets. It was subsequently pressed in a homemade edition of 50 copies with help from Brian Carroll (cutting engineer at I.B.C. Studios: Factory, Five Day Rain, etc) but without Peter Harknett's (one half of Dave) knowledge / involvement. The cover featured Peter's neighbor Dave on the front. On the back, they included a blurry photo of their Italian friend Marco (from Rock Bottom Records), who used to buy and trade original psych albums from Russell and Peter. The original pressing of the album suffered from excessive duration on each side, affecting the sound quality. This has been fixed for our new reissue, expanding it to a double LP including two previously unreleased tracks from the album sessions. Also, all the tracks have been newly and carefully mixed from the original multi-track tapes by Peter Harknett, sounding better than ever. Featuring extensive liner notes and reflections from co-creator Pete Harknett, this long-overdue reissue finally brings the album beyond collector lore and into the wider psychedelic canon. Includes insert with liner notes by Klemen Breznikar (It's Psychedelic Baby) and photos. Features two previously unreleased bonus tracks from the original album sessions, as well as download card with the full 2LP plus one digital only bonus track.

RELEASE DATE: 6/19/2026
Writing On The Wall were a legendary Scottish underground psych/prog band whose explosive live reputation rivaled the early UK heavyweights of the late '60s/early '70s. From Edinburgh soul rebels to theatrical psychedelic warriors, they were signed to the Middle Earth label, releasing their sole album, The Power Of The Picts, in 1969. Sadly, despite critical praise, major live popularity and opportunities to break internationally, the band's career became trapped in management disputes, failed label deals and bad luck, leaving much of their finest material unreleased for decades. This compilation gathers some of that material: their killer non-LP "Lucifer Corpus / Child On A Crossing" 45; early psych stuff including the rare Jury acetate; the 7-minute Mellotron-fueled "Buffalo" and rare TV broadcast recordings. Comes in hard cardboard period sleeve. Includes insert with track-by track annotations by original member Jimmy Hush and rare photos.

RELEASE DATE: 6/19/2026
Formed in Edinburgh in 1966 as The Jury, Writing On The Wall evolved from a fierce soul-based live act into one of the most powerful and theatrical hard psychedelic rock bands to emerge from the UK underground. Inspired first by American soul and R&B and later transformed by exposure to West Coast psychedelia through artists like Love and The Doors, the band developed a unique sound combining heavy organ-driven psych, proto-progressive experimentation, hard rock aggression and dramatic stagecraft. Fronted by the charismatic Linnie Paterson and powered by the dynamic interplay of Willy Finlayson, Bill Scott, Jake Scott and Jimmy Hush, Writing On The Wall quickly became notorious for their explosive concerts at legendary venues such as Middle Earth and The Marquee Club. Their intense performances earned support from BBC DJ John Peel, who invited the band to record multiple sessions for his influential Top Gear radio show. In 1969 the band released their sole album, The Power Of The Picts, on the short-lived Middle Earth label, linked to the hippie club with the same name. Today regarded as a cornerstone of British heavy psychedelic rock, the album fused dark Doors-inspired atmospheres, crushing Hammond organ, extended improvisation and proto-metal energy years ahead of its time. Despite critical praise, major live popularity and opportunities to break internationally -- including a triumphant appearance before 60,000 people at Brazil's Rio Song Festival -- the band's career became trapped in management disputes, failed label deals and bad luck. This reissue, sanctioned by original member Jimmy Hush, tells the full story of a band that should have stood alongside contemporaries such as Deep Purple, Family, Arthur Brown, or early Wishbone Ash. Remastered sound with original artwork in hard cardboard sleeve. Includes insert with liner notes by David Wells with input by drummer Jimmy Hush and rare photos/memorabilia.

Born from Israel's groundbreaking psychedelic pioneers The Churchills, Jericho Jones emerged in 1971 with Junkies, Monkeys & Donkeys -- an internationally-minded leap into hard rock, proto-prog, and melodic songwriting. Recorded in a single, electrifying 24-hour session at London's Tangerine Studios, the album captures a band in full creative flight. Blending heavy riffs, lush melodies, and subtle Middle Eastern influences, Junkies, Monkeys & Donkeys stands today as a lost classic of early '70s rock -- a vital bridge between psychedelia and the heavier sounds that followed. Features original artwork in gatefold sleeve. Newly remastered sound. Includes insert with detailed liner notes by Mike Stax (Ugly Things) with input from original member Robb Huxley as well as extra insert with lyrics.

Already pioneers at home under their earlier name The Churchills, the band relocated to the UK in 1971 under the guidance of a big management, changing their name to Jericho Jones and finally Jericho. Released by A&M in February 1972, the self-titled Jericho album was heavier, longer, and more progressive than anything they had done before. Built around extended compositions, fearless arrangements, and telepathic ensemble playing, it captured a band operating at full creative stretch. The album opens with "Ethiopia," a ferocious multi-section rocker whose volcanic riffing and sudden twists set the tone for everything that follows. "Don't You Let Me Down," later issued as a single, delivers urgent hooks wrapped in the group's distinctive modal flavor. The towering "Featherbed" moves from melodic introspection to a widescreen instrumental workout that became the band's breakthrough moment on British stages. At the heart of the record lies "Justin and Nova," Robb Huxley's sweeping, cinematic psychedelic/ progressive epic. With its emotional narrative, dramatic dynamics, and lush piano and strings, the track has grown into a cult classic, often cited by fans as one of the era's lost masterpieces. The album closes with "Kill Me With Your Love" a hard-edged, proto-metal piece, ending the journey in grand, theatrical fashion. Internal strains and homesickness soon led to lineup changes, and despite tours, new singles, and even interest from heavyweight industry figures, momentum proved difficult to sustain. Within a short time, Jericho was over. Newly remastered sound. Includes original artwork in hard cardboard sleeve and insert with detailed liner notes by Mike Stax (Ugly Things) with input from original member Robb Huxley. Also includes extra insert with lyrics.

One of the hidden treasures of the Spanish '90s garage-revival scene, Madrid's Beat In blended beat, folk-rock, and pop, heavily influenced by bands like The Remains, Byrds, Zombies, Hollies, Kinks, and Easybeats. Songs full of melody, energy, and a true '60s spirit that never made it beyond demo tapes are now rescued and restored by Guerssen Records to celebrate the label's 30th anniversary. In the mid-'90s, Antoni, founder of Guerssen, received a cassette with demos by a Madrid band called Beat In. Despite the home-recorded sound, those songs had something special that hooked him: irresistible melodies, sparkling harmonies, and a clear connection to names like The Remains, The Byrds, and the West Coast sound. Now, Guerssen tracked down the main songwriters, Marcos de Ben and Fernando Maestú, who sent more recordings. The project slowly began to take shape, and it finally crystallized when Guerssen discovered that Jesús Sanz -- respected music tastemaker and someone Alex Carretero at Guerssen followed on social media had been the band's bassist. With Guerssen's 30th anniversary approaching, it was the perfect moment: now or never. Although Guerssen is known for rescuing psychedelic rarities from the '60s and '70s, releasing the Beat In recordings makes perfect sense. Active between 1989 and 1992 and friends with bands like Sex Museum, Los Potros (with whom they shared many influences), or Snap!, Beat In were a group deeply in love with '60s pop but with a personality of their own. In a scene dominated by raw and dirty garage sounds, they stood out for their melodic side. They left behind a good handful of home demos with memorable songs, and it's quite possible that, had they continued, they might have become one of the first bands of the Spanish indie movement.

Part-time farmer/musician Oliver Chaplin is the person behind one of the rarest private pressings from the UK. His cult masterpiece Standing Stone was recorded in early 1974 at a remote farm in Wales, using a portable 4-track Teac reel-to-reel machine. Helped by his brother Chris at the controls (an experienced BBC engineer who had worked on Syd Barrett sessions), surrounded by animals and "smaller winged creatures," Oliver sang and played acoustic and electric guitars filtered through tape echo, distortion and multi-tracking, creating a very unique sound, a kind of DIY mutant-psychedelic-blues (think Captain Beefheart) which sounded years ahead of its time. Despite the lo-fi nature of the recording, the sound quality is amazing and timeless. Only 250 copies of the album were pressed and it even caught the attention of the Virgin label, who were interested in distribution but Oliver finally refused their offer. Musicians like JJ Cale expressed interest in Oliver's music, inviting him to a jam session but in the end, Oliver decided he was not interested in the music business and left Wales to travel around Europe. He remains a kind of a mysterious figure and Guerssen now offers a new, long-awaited reissue of Standing Stone, sanctioned by the artist.

Before releasing their now legendary debut LP, Piknik Caleidoscópico in 1986, Los Negativos recorded a four-song demo with the help of their own personal "George Martin," producer and sound engineer Enric Lindo. Recorded on four tracks, it displayed clear influences from psychedelia, garage rock, and '60s folk-rock: the Beatles, the Byrds, the Seeds -- not forgetting local bands like Los Salvajes. This early demo, released on cassette, introduced them to the underground scene of the time, even getting airplay on Radio 3's "Diario Pop" program. Now, for the first time on vinyl, you can enjoy these brilliant songs exactly as they were originally conceived.

From Barcelona, Los Negativos stood out within the 1980s sixties-revival scene thanks to their carefully crafted look, lyrics, and thrilling songs. With their first album, Piknik Caleidoscópico, originally released in 1986, they masterfully combined pop, psychedelia, garage, beat, and folk-rock, creating a distinctive lysergic universe that continues to captivate 40 years after its release. This 40th-anniversary reissue of Piknik Caleidoscópico preserves the album's original artwork but, for the first time, includes the black-and-white back cover, which is how the band originally designed it. In addition, the audio has been remastered again by the album's original producer, Enric Lindo, together with the members of Los Negativos. It also includes an eight-page trilingual booklet (Spanish, Catalan, and English) with informative notes by journalist and band's official biographer Àlex Oró, plus rare photos/memorabilia and a reproduction of the original lyrics insert.

One of the more authentic '60s-styled Mod/R&B/beat acts in continental Europe during the '90s, The Jaybirds formed in Vienna strongly inspired by bands such as The Yardbirds (their name is a nod to them).
