...Fabulous Songs Of Miss Sonia Pottinger Vol. 2. 2007 release. The second in Rock A Shacka's Sonia Pottinger series is a compilation of rare 45s released on the SEP and Gayfeet labels by the legendary female producer, who was responsible for so many wonderful releases during the '60s and '70s and who stands tall alongside the likes of Studio One and Treasure Isle. This is a precious selection of tunes, most of which have never seen reissue since their original release on 7" in 1967 and 1968. Starting with title track and killer instrumental, "Orange Street Special" by Bobby Aitken, the collection features Johnny & The Attractions' deeper-than-deep classic, "Let's Get Together," "Rudies Give Up" by Lloyd "Cuss Cuss" Robinson and Pantomime producer Glen Brown, and "Miss Cushie" by Junior Murvin of "Police & Thieves"-fame singing under his former name, Junior Soul. Fifteen tracks of rocksteady murder! Vintage wire and crystal remastering, including a booklet with detailed liner notes in English and Japanese and rare artist and label photos. Other artists include: The Cables, The Valentines, The Originators, Rhythm Bop, The Carib Beats, The Conquerors, Eric Morris, and The Hippy Boys.

2004 release. Classic lover's rock from Britain's beloved late-'70s/early- '80s vocalist Louisa Mark. She won her first recording session with Lloyd Coxsone at just 15 years old, soon cementing herself as one of the most important lover's rock vocalists of all time. "6 Sixth Street" topped the reggae charts in 1978, and helped her to win "Artist of the Year" at the 1978 Reggae Awards in the UK, and "Keep It Like It Is" was released on the Trojan label in 1986. Marks tragically and suddenly passed away in October 2009. Also includes Jah Son's "Natty Go Dey Voluntarily," originally released on Burning Sounds.

2004 release. So In Love is a collection of UK lover's rock -- the works following Louisa Mark's big break -- recorded during the late-'70s glory days of the Bushay label production. Featuring "I'll Be Free Someday" by Candy McKenzie, who also released several other tracks on the Upsetter label, a cover of Michael Jackson's "Shake Your Body," and "Ready To Learn" by a 13 year-old Suzy Brown, whose vocal maturity was far beyond her years. The collection also stars Paulette Walker, an enchanting singer whose sultry, husky vocal style contrasted with Louisa's more child-like delivery. Recorded during the same period as Breakout (1981), In Crowd and Aswad feature as backing bands throughout. A must-have collection for all fans of UK lover's rock. Also featuring Bushey Girls, Cynthia Richards, Kevin & Kate, Ann And Annice Peters, and Prince Jazzbo.
