After a year of activity with three beautiful single reissues, Sol Discos presents its first album with the compilation Message In Our Music, selected by Waxist. Focusing on modern-soul genre, the selection ranges from 1977 to 1983 and gathers a nice selection of independent and private press records, all officially licensed. From David Nathan's downtempo previously unreleased version of "Ain't Nothing Like The Love", to the beautiful gospel dancer from Glen Missick & Lovespiration, "Message In Our Music", the album aims to provide listeners with a glimpse of the wide spectrum of productions that exist in modern-soul. Some of these beauties are officially reissued on vinyl for the very first time here, including some highly sought-after records such as "Deep Inside Of You" by Harden Brothers, "My Dream" by Harvell Guiton, or "Love With Me" by Don Scott. Sol Discos presents its second release, a reissue of an obscure Island disco/funk hybrid. Originally arranged and released by Jamaican producer Ralston "Stamma" Haughton on his Sound Of Montego Bay imprint, "My Music" is sung by Jamaican artist E.T. Webster and features a dub mix to the vocal on the flip. The music is provided by a high quality band of session musicians, including Leslie Butler and Paul Hurlock. Sol Discos is delighted to give a second life to this rare and hard to get 12 inch.

Favorite Recordings launches its SOL Discos sublabel, a partnership between Pascal Rioux and Waxist dedicated to reissues of rare and forgotten music with a tropical disco flavor. This is an official reissue of Turn It Around/Love Flight by Hiram and Direct, originally recorded and released in Detroit and hard to find ever since. This edition switches the sides, putting the focus on "Love Flight" as the A-side. The track has some strong dancefloor potential for any DJ into underground disco and modern soul -- just listen to those synths! "Turn It Around" is an excellent ballad with beautiful vocals and harmonies.
