BOND 12069EP

With its roots in Leipzig, Bondage Music has developed a cogent back catalogue which draws on the principles of Romanian minimalism whilst evincing a certain verve prevalent across dancefloors in Berlin and further afield. Previous releases from Mihai Popoviciu, Pornbugs, and NTFO, have woven a clear thread within the catalog -- a thread defined by the adroit use of distilled elements. Adding to this thread with the next release on Bondage Music is the masterful producer Sascha Dive. Based in Frankfurt and with releases stretching back to 2005, Sascha Dive has earned his status as a venerated contributor to the scene and has developed a musical identity characterized by a combination of deep, moody synthesis and precise, punchy drums. His Beautiful People EP develops these tropes and -- as the name would suggest -- suffuses them with a lick of dub. Sunken pads, deftly woven melodies, and dense subs are rendered to a lucid finish across a versatile and effective set of tools which slot neatly into the Bondage Music catalog. "Beautiful People" features Robert Owens. 180 gram vinyl.

Sascha Dive delivers his latest album Back 2 Life, marking Bondage Music's 15th anniversary. Frankfurt-based talent Sascha Dive has a long and esteemed history within house music, releasing material via 8Bit, Raum-Musik and Kwench alongside his own Deep Vibes Recordings, while featuring in Cocoon Recordings, long-standing In The Mix series and gaining support from label boss Sven Väth alongside the likes of Guy Gerber, Maya Jane Coles and Laurent Garnier. He now returns to Bondage Music to mark the imprints' 15th anniversary with fifteen essential house cuts across his Back 2 Life LP -- delivering the label's second ever album in the process. Dive opens up with the luxurious "Whispering Voices" and "This Is My Journey", two tracks fueled by twinged vocals, glimmering motifs, and dubby chords. The temperature rises on "My Life", before the acidic ripples and spoken words of Messy MC on "In The Darkness" unveils a subliminal slice of electronica. "Time Waits For No Man" sees a standout collaboration alongside the iconic Robert Owens, while resonant kicks and evolving melodies can be found on 'A Silver Lining on The Horizon'. The second half unveils further entrancing productions such as "Interview With An Alien", as progressing effects wrap around minimalist-style programming, while "Moonwalker" and "Let's Get It On" lean towards deep house territories, alongside the up-beat and sun-drenched reverberations of "Dreaming Es Verda" and "Tell Me When". A vibrant, dynamic and imbued collection of tracks, "Back 2 Life" delivers a far-reaching album showcasing an essential milestone for both Dive and Bondage Music while celebrating a long-standing partnership in style. "Tell Me When" features Voe. Includes four vinyl-only tracks. 180 gram vinyl; printed gatefold sleeve.
"These tracks mirror what I have experienced in the last 15 years. Each one has its own story -- of pain, emotion, learning, curiosity -- the need to find and create new sounds, new beats and this is what continues to drive me to look further, further and further..." --Sascha Dive.
"2006-2021: 15 years of Bondage Music is about harnessing those great moments and spiritual experiences from the Dancefloor. The vision of Bondage Music is to bring authentic, quality and honest dance music to those in the know. Music which makes you move touches the heart and brings you to a deeper place in your soul." --Sven C. & Sven G., Bondage Music.

Sascha Dive was last spotted on Bondage Music earlier in 2019 with the deep hypnotic pulses of "Dark Night" on Bondage Games Part 5 (BOND 12048EP). So, it's fitting he returns with Detroit Sunrise and, as sure as day follows night, it's every bit as deep, pulsing and hypnotic as you'd expect from the Frankfurt craftsman. His first full EP for the Leipzig label. "Detroit Sunrise" warms up with broad, swinging drums, rippling textures, and a crucial spoken-word sample every person should consider. It sets the scene for two classic Dive deep adventures as both "Dub Chronicles #1" and "Dub Chronicles #2" both roll out with subtlety and understatement. Layered, absorbing, and endless; timeless tools made for those deep mix moments of magic. Last but not least, the EP ends on an upbeat. "Ghostdancer" takes more of a sprightly, light-footed note with an upward-spiraling arpeggiated riff, gentle ebb-and-flow chords, and a light peppering of cosmic flurries. Ghoulishly good. Like all things by Dive and Bondage Music. Don't get tied down, get tied up...

Sascha Dives' new release for Cocoon beams us back to the high days of the summer of 2015. "Into The Woods" is a pristine tech-house production that comes with a straight-forward beat programming, very nice reverse strings-sounds and hypnotic house chords. "Werewolf" is slightly more spaced out, however deep in the house universe. Dive uses crazy chord sounds and turns the track into an 11-minute tech-house journey.

Deep Vibes presents the second album by Sascha Dive. Pinning down Sascha Dive as Cocoon's deep house wunderkind wouldn't really hit the nail on the head; however, it isn't far from the truth. Compared to most other artists of this genre, he can for sure be classified as a young gun. Sascha Dive's music is loaded with a respectful amount of taste and house history you would normally find in the productions and DJ sets of artists who started in the early '90s. And this is not unwanted: Dive admires and follows the big names of house and deep house and his musical efforts to pay respect to them brought him on par with his legends. So it's no wonder that Sascha Dive productions found their way to top-notch labels like Tsuba, Freebase, Deep Labs (Balance US) or Raum...Musik. Not to forget his release for Ornaments and the Moodymann remix for "Deepest America." Keeping in mind where Dive started with his first album Restless Nights (DVR 014CD/LP) and what he achieved (such as receiving remix honors from Kenny Dixon Jr.), one would think Sascha Dive has scored all the goals he wanted to score. However, the journey doesn't stop there: being a Cocoon artist and having played for some of the major Cocoon nights in Ibiza and around the globe, Dive incorporated a decent amount of electronic soul and afterhour-madness to his music over the last years. He even admits that his current productions and DJ sets are definitely influenced by current techno- and techno house artists and this special feeling this music adds to a party. This progression is clearly audible on Dark Shadow, which is a great example of the sound of Sascha Dive as he opens up new fields of music and creativity. This album is not just a collection of tracks, it is a mad journey that has the potential to take you deeper and deeper underground and back to the top again. Cinematic, moody house vibes and hypnotic tech-house excursions... you'll find it all in here.

Here are the long-awaited remixes from Sascha Dive's Restless Nights (DVR 014CD/LP) album. Jam Sessions #1 is the first out of two 12"s that will be released on Deep Vibes. French deep house master Franck Roger comes up with a supremely dark but warm remix of "Drums Of The Jungle." NYC's Sole Channel boss Alix Alvarez remixes "The Jam," making it sexy as hell. Sascha Dive gave his own "Jus Groove" a catchy dub treatment.

2x12" version. Almost 4 years and innumerable releases later, a new genre of house music has developed from and around the sound of highly inspired Frankfurt-based artist Sascha Dive. This sound is characterized by dark, driving rhythms with clear references to the U.S. American house music of the 1990s. The German Groove magazine called it "Rhein-Main-House"-- a very accurate term to describe this movement. Sascha Dive has been successful both as a producer, and as a DJ. When you talk with him about club music, and in particular house music, you almost get the impression of talking to a human encyclopedia. His expert knowledge combined with his definition of contemporary club tunes makes his sets a unique experience. He takes the audience on a trip towards the future and the past, and at the end of the night, gently back into the here and now again. A couple of years ago, in spite of his busy schedule and the time he would spend in his studio, Sascha Dive decided to found his own label Deep Vibes Recordings, and to do his own research in the aesthetics of contemporary house sounds. He released tracks by cohorts such as Johnny D, Christian Burkhardt, Ray Okpara and Robert Dietz, as well as of his own favorites such as Rick Wade, Scott Furgeson, Brothers Vibe, DJ Qu, Sean Dimitrie & Tim Fuller, and Norm Talley. The vinyl version features 5 out of 10 of the tracks featured on the CD: "Tribute To The Night," "The Get Out Of The Ghetto Blues," "Underground Railroad," "The Jam" and "Black Man (Vinyl Version)."

This is the perfect album for almost any occasion: from dusk till dawn, for a nice open-air party, or a gorgeous after-hour event in Ibiza.

"Following his remix of 'I Cried For You' from Scott Ferguson and his subsequent release 'Down Edit' on Raum...musik, Sascha Dive now brings us his follow-up EP, The Basic Collective Part 2 of 3. On the A-side one finds bold tracks strongly influenced by such artists as Octave One, Gary Martin, DJ Rasoul or even the Brothers Vibe. In contrast, on side B he returns to his basic roots and presents one more deep/Detroit/minimal house music. You can dance, if you want to!"
