This is the second chapter of the NET28 compilation series, 2, a collection of some of the best tracks by the Net28 family -- home of CMYKmusik, Bemysheep, Cyclical Tracks, Pulpa, Múpa and Apnea labels. Apart from the usual suspects (Alex Under, Tadeo, Damián Schwartz, Imek, From Karaoke To Stardom, and Pilas), some of the featured tracks are from producers that recently joined the family (Brendon Moeller, Grünbox, Pherox and Rossella) and others are by good friends (Xpansul). Revisiting house and techno, 2 features a total of 11 forward-thinking, seductively simple tracks that are absolutely transportive.

Double LP version. This is the debut full-length release by Madrid's Tadeo. On Contacto, techno breathes again with new and recovered energy, and is a declaration of love to his city, even if the language of the album is cosmology and a fascination with the universe. The man behind Cyclical Tracks and one of the NET28 headhunters (together with Alex Under, Damian Schwartz and Imek), has developed a sound that searches for perfection and classicism, with touches of Detroit and the new sound of Madrid. On "Heliopausa," "Orión" and "Júpiter," we confront the most straightforward dancefloor moments where rhythm takes control, punctuated with retro/futuristic arrangements, some very serious and deep stuff. "Zona de Fluctuación...," with its devastating rawness and originality, takes us even higher, together with timeless hit "Metro," where the perception of what Tadeo is capable of really hits us. His journey is that of the endless highway, where techno looks forward and there is no way back, just the feeling of being away from everywhere, in constant movement, even when tracks like "Titán" or "Transmisión" let us breathe, evolving with elegance and beauty. This album is a result of Tadeo's huge capacity to modulate music that is always as perfect as a mathematic equation.

This is the debut full-length release by Spain's Damián Schwartz. After some wonderful releases for CMYKmusik, Apnea and Mupa (his own label), Damián Schwartz's debut album is here to be enjoyed as one of NET28's biggest releases of 2008. One of the key figures of the NET28 family, along with Alex Under, Tadeo and Imek, Damián Schwartz's sound has evolved from the visceral and futuristic techno of its origins, to the warm, cerebral and deep groove of Party Lovers. This evolution shows Damián's ability to create a constant sound flow where all kinds of influences blend together. "I had the album all laid out in my head way before I began work on it in the studio. My goal was to synthesize all the roots & influences of my musical background together with constant investigation of new sounds, searching for a homogenized piece of work, where everything could make sense." So, it is easy to see traces of Chicago's early house melted with Damián's techno sound and rhythm design approach. The result is new, refreshing and original, without a doubt a timeless dance machine. "In the past few years I have had a chance to perform in many different clubs, and the interaction with the audience's need to dance has enabled me to develop a modus operandi and musical concept that is completely new for me. I wanted to reflect this change in my music." Party Lovers is all about recollection of instinctually good moments -- an album that reflects what club music means for the artist: the connection that arises between music, mind and soul. Body movement as we knew it has changed forever.

This is the debut compilation from the Madrid label collective Net28, home of the CMYKmusik, Bemysheep, Cyclical Tracks, Pulpa, Múpa and Apnea labels -- a statement to celebrate all their unique voices and grooves. 1 is a deep journey that begins in Madrid (with all the usual suspects) and lands in France (From Karaoke To Stardom), the UK (Kevin Gorman), the USA (Hieroglyphic Being) and Georgia (Nate Fisher). Every track is a must, a hit, a fucking brilliant sum of influences and new horizons. Techno in all its colors and forms, developing from the most atmospheric to the funkiest and darkest, paying due respect to Detroit, Cologne and Berlin, but re-emerging as something totally new and fresh, as only these artists know how to do. From Karaoke to Stardom pushes his futuristic groove to the limit; Kevin Gorman brings back all the funk in a compulsive rhythm adventure; Tadeo shows his most merciless face with a enormous stomper; Damián Schwartz rethinks the future and discovers new grounds with a massive rocking synth orgy; Alex Under impresses yet again with his unique way of understanding and producing music; Pilas goes all smooth and dreamy with a classic techno number; Friendly People (aka Alex Under) turns off the lights and submerges us into a frightening odyssey; Hieroglyphic Being brings us back to Detroit with pure innovation; Mensico (Pilas and Sintec) work it in a moody and heartless manner; Circunbalation (aka Tadeo) goes eternal and delivers a timeless killer, possibly his biggest track to date; and finally Nate Fisher brings you all the sophistication of the best house music. Anything you want is here, and much more than you could ever imagine.
