"Thule Records proudly presents a brilliant album (CD only) by mastermind Torul V, from Ljublana, the capitol of Slovenia. It's an excellent collection of his 12" releases on Thule Records and its sister label Tissju, mixed flawlessly by one of Iceland's best DJs, DJ Reynir. Torul V is certainly no stranger to the world of techno, after releasing several records, under various monikers and on labels like Force Inc. and Tissju. His tracks are shuffled to the max, making it extra groovy minimal techno like no other. His minimal and hypnotic melodies make people move and groove on the dancefloor and the rhythm section is so tight that you barely can breathe."

"Never underestimate the power of pathetic. Famous in Reykjavik city for their powerful live shows, alcoholic lifestyle and heartfelt honest country music, it all started when two guys Raggi and Doddi, usually doing instrumental electro music got together on cold winter nights, drank some port and started singing the blues. They found something basic and honest to write about and then it became inevitable to form a band, so they called their friends and decided to record their first session in some small cabin out in the countryside. The result was quite amazing. So during two weekends in this small cabin under a cracking glacier, they recorded the album Pathetic Me. The recordings were recorded onto a simple old two track tape machine and while listening to the album you can easily imagine being there with them. Their music is a combination of slow & tragic country tunes and broken hearts ballads, mixed with some Icelandic drinking songs. The members of The Funerals work in very different projects such as filmmaking, theater, art exhibitions, recording & producing music, and architecture, and are associated with bands such as Trabant, Kanada, Singapore Sling, Apparat Organ Quartet, Quarashi and more."

"Sofandi was established four years ago on a parking lot somewhere in Reykjavik. During the first year we mostly played for ourselves. We weren't working on anything special except this one song we called 'Sleeping Beauty' -- which ended up being a 30 minute long symphony consisting of all kinds of strange moods that completely kept us poisoned for god knows how long. In fact we can't remember much from that period but eventually we came to our senses and decided to buy a light bulb and do something more optimistic. The music on Ugly Demos is gloomy and violent with a touch of jazz and blues and goes great with duck. We call it Splitrock."
