Evergreen In Your Mind, the new and third album from Norwegian singer-songwriter Juni Habel, exists in two worlds at the same time. Songs were recorded in quiet corners of her home, on the piano in the school where she works, and it uses the physical world around her to provide percussion. It also takes place, as she herself attests, within a dream; an imagined place in which her desire for oneness with each other and the world is finally realized. Evergreen In Your Mind was recorded with co-producer Stian Skaaden. It is Habel's first album in three-years, following the breakthrough success of 2023's Carvings LP. Formed of eleven new recordings, the songs here remain delicate, with Habel's voice playing an elegant lead role. Small shifts in Habel's sound result in a notable stride forward. More focus went into the groove of these songs. Playfulness was embraced and, perhaps most importantly, patience played a fundamental role in shaping the album with time and care given to every element of these songs. The extra time that was given to the project gave Juni the space to nurture her creativity. She would read and listen to music, hike into the hills, place herself within nature and seek out stillness. Not as a deviation from her work but as a fundamental part of the process. It's a search for connection, and it's a recurring theme across Evergreen In Your Mind. The album's title-track and fist single feels indicative of this narrative. A gorgeous, delicate folk song, it finds Habel out in the woods, hiding from real life, caught in the space between the natural world and the pull of modernity. The album cover also adds shimmer: a striking photograph of Juni among the mountains, it was taken on a day trip to Rondane, a five-hour drive each way from her home.

Delayed until 2026... "A massive photographic archive of Lee 'Scratch' Perry's legendary recording studio. A 600-page tribute to one of the most famous locales in music history, Black Ark is a detailed inventory of photographs and writings from the Black Ark Studios in Kingston, Jamaica, where producer Lee 'Scratch' Perry created music from 1973 onward. The eclectic and constantly evolving decoration of the studio provides an enduring visual counterpart to Perry's expansive musical catalog. From mural paintings to shape-shifting assemblages of records, instruments, found objects, posters and newspaper clippings, the artworks layer upon one another as they intertwine with the studio building itself. Perry created his own dense and diverse world in which to work: memorialized in this volume before the Black Ark disappears for good. The photographic documentation of the studio in the spring of 2021 was supplemented by efforts to secure and preserve Perry's works, objects and recordings as part of a joint project with the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC. Black Ark reflects the rhythm and layering effects of collage both in its content and the materials used to craft the book. Perry was involved in the development of this publication until his death in August 2021. The book closes with memorial essays from Ishion Hutchinson, David Katz, Kodwo Eshun, and John Corbett. Lee 'Scratch' Perry (1936-2021) was a musician and producer best known for pioneering the dub genre in the 1970s. He worked with well-known Jamaican artists such as Bob Marley and the Wailers, the Heptones, the Congos, and Max Romeo. In 2003 he won a Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album."

"Throughout the 1980s, outfits like Black Flag, D.O.A., Dead Kennedys, Minor Threat and the Circle Jerks helped define the decade's deafening hardcore punk sound, paving the way for the eventual explosion of punk bands through radio and MTV in the decades to come. While punk rock's upper echelon may no longer be as culturally seditious as they once were, the genre's effect on a new generation of activists and aspiring politicians has never been more clear. The Vancouver-based D.O.A. have always been a politically outspoken outfit since first forming in 1978 as teenagers. Their mix of raucous anthems like 'Fucked Up Ronnie', 'America The Beautiful', 'The Prisoner' and others remain classics. The band's 1981 LP entitled Hardcore '81 was awarded the prestigious Slaight Family Polaris Heritage Prize in 2019, which honors groundbreaking Canadian albums from the past, winning out over 11 other critical album releases including The Band's Music From Big Pink, and Joni Mitchell's Court And Spark. In 2018, after 40 years of fighting against oppression, homelessness and corporate greed around the world, D.O.A. frontman Joe Keithley decided to turn art into life and run against the outspoken Mayor of Burnaby, Derek Corrigan. In a classic underdog scenario --and with only a $7000 campaign budget -- Keithley convincingly won a city councilor seat that year and helped to unseat the entrenched five-term Corrigan. The filmmakers followed Joe Keithley during his 2022 reelection campaign to document the amount of work and commitment that goes into running for public office. They were allowed unprecedented access to Keithley's entire campaign throughout its often chaotic and nail-biting conclusion. Ultimately, Something Better Change is a documentary film that proves music, political steadfastness and social advocacy can work together to effect real change just about everywhere -- including city hall."

"Born Innocent: The Redd Kross Story is not your regular rock doc. After all, brothers Jeff and Steve McDonald were never a regular rock band. They were the group with the eleven-year-old bass player threading their way through the hardcore punk scene only to reappear, just a few years later, as masters of power pop hooks and bubblegum fun. They were Partridge Family fanatics who influenced the entire grunge crowd. They were long-haired punks with stage costumes that would have put even the boldest glam rockers to shame. These sound like contradictions, but Redd Kross is the unfettered expression of two brothers and their rock'n'roll dream so exclusively informed by a visceral love of music and pop culture that it couldn't help but defy genres and conventions, evolve without pause and survive both the music industry and a kidnapping. A line-up of talking heads straight outta Lollapalooza tells stories you would swear were made up. But Jeff and Steve McDonald were already larger than life when they were in their teens, and the adventures that followed reflect just that. Through more than four decades Redd Kross have been nothing but happily, outrageously and courageously themselves. Director Andrew Reich (Emmy Award-winning writer on the hit TV Show Friends) conducted dozens of new interviews and had unfettered access to home movies and archival footage featuring The Runaways, X, Nirvana and Guns N Roses and members of the Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, The Muffs, Melvins, Go-Gos and Black Flag. This is the definitive story of the most eclectic, unpredictable, thrilling and heartwarming band you never knew."

RELEASE DATE: 3/31/2026
Paperback. 150 pages. "One of the towering figures of 20th-century art holds forth on his controversial life and career in a previously unpublished set of interviews. Over six sessions between September 1951 and November 1952, Marcel Duchamp sat down with collectors and gallerists Harriet and Sidney Janis for a wide-ranging conversation about his inspirations and working processes, and his many opinions on the workings of the modern art world and its histories. The Janises, owners of the influential Sidney Janis Gallery, were ardent supporters of modern art and close friends with Duchamp. Harriet, an accomplished author, led the interviews with an eye toward writing a monograph on Duchamp, though this was never realized. Now, this previously unknown chronicle is available for the first time through the efforts of Carroll Janis, Sidney and Harriet's son. Under Harriet's expert guidance, Duchamp holds forth on his artistic philosophies, his career, his friends, his rivals and his lifelong obsession with chess. He provides an inside look at some of his most famous works, from his controversial 'Readymades' to 'The Large Glass.' Contextualized with illustrations, annotations and an introduction by Carroll Janis, this publication is a rich treasure trove of information on one of the 20th century's most controversial, groundbreaking and larger-than-life artists. Marcel Duchamp (1887-1968) dismantled the boundaries of what constitutes a work of art. Although he began his career as a painter, Duchamp was also a curator, conservator, art advisor, professional chess player, writer, inventor and celebrity. Following the completion of his conceptual masterpiece, 'The Large Glass' (1915-23), he abandoned traditional artmaking altogether. Today he is best known for his 'Readymades' -- ordinary objects such as a urinal or bicycle wheel, elevated to works of art -- which challenged traditional aesthetics and redefined authorship."

With Le Tact, Joseph Schiano di Lombo delivers a work of rare finesse, conceived as a posthumous conversation with photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson. Through seven meditative pieces -- whose evocative titles echo the photographer's words when describing the art of creating an image -- this album explores the instinctive and delicate relationship that connects music and photography to everyday lives. Presented for the first time on stage during the 20th anniversary of the Henri Cartier-Bresson Foundation, Le Tact draws its inspiration from the photographer's art: a sensitive and respectful approach, capturing the essence of things without altering them. This spirit of discretion and precision is distilled by Joseph into his music, blending composition and improvisation with intuitive elegance. While Joseph composed and performed the piano, organ, synthesizer, clarinet, and guitar himself, he opened his arrangements for the first time to other musicians. Agnes Wasniewska (oboe), Barbara Misiewicz (cello), and Tomasz Baye Zietek (trumpet) bring their sonic textures, enriching this work, which is both intimate and collaborative. The album was recorded between Paris and Sopot (Poland) during a residency organized by the CNM. The album's title perfectly encapsulates its essence: Le Tact. This simple word, evoking both the sense of touch and artistic intuition, reflects the way Joseph composes -- with respect, humility, and attention to detail. Each note seems to float lightly, as if to preserve the serenity of the moment. Le Tact transcends genre boundaries. Between ambient music and contemporary art, this album invites listeners to slow down and truly listen. It is a tribute to the beauty of the world, captured with the subtlety of a photographer and the sensitivity of a musician.

"more eaze is the moniker of Brooklyn-based composer, orchestrator, and multi-instrumentalist, mari maurice. A renowned collaborator both in performance and on recordings, maurice's own work is a fantasia, a reflection of her curious and explorative musical mind, encompassing entire spectrums of sound from a wide sonic pallet of electro-acoustic textures, folk traditions, and pop forms that pirouette into fully realized ecosystems. sentence structure in the country is a definitive statement of the matchless quality of more eaze's skill as player and musical thinker. The album relishes the ecstatic in performance and collaboration with an inviting wit and incisive compositions, imbuing tenderness, frustration, and joy into each passage. The title is an acknowledgement of the vernacular that shaped maurice's musical production. As Coltrane said, 'It all has to do with it.' maurice grew up playing fiddle in traditional folk and country tunes, and while playing on her album is entirely different, her reverence for the evolution of folk forms and her playing remain integral to those performances. Informing her production choices were maurice's well- chosen collaborators: Wendy Eisenberg on electric guitar, piano and voice, Henry Earnest on electric guitar, Alice Gerlach on cello, Jade Guterman on acoustic guitar, and Ryan Sawyer on drums. maurice explains how her collaborators helped sculpt the album's sound: 'There are ways Jade or Wendy choose to voice chords that are not how I'd play them in this context, but that's kind of the point. Their voices redefine what I'm making but also help me define my own.' sentence structure in the country is a collection of compositions, each beautifully realized, self-contained worlds. maurice's dexterous, tasteful arranging lays bare her influences and obsessive fascinations with remarkable congruency while foregoing any sense of indulgence. Her music holds a density not only in the lush compositions and embellishing flourishes, but also for those moments of spare, minimalist beauty. sentence structure in the country is a textural marvel, a mosaic of ethereal electronics and loamy acoustics sculpted around deeply moving, enduring songs."

LP version. "The compositions of Colleen, aka multi-instrumentalist Cécile Schott, are as richly varied as they are precise. Each of Colleen's albums are shaped by her predetermined distinct instrumentation and parameters, including works composed entirely of music boxes, pocket synthesizers, and antiquated stringed instruments. The connective essence of Schott's music is in her ability to create pieces within this transcendent specificity that are both expansive and imbued with profound emotions. Libres antes del final is an album that reaches for the hope and desire to be truly freed from unnecessary suffering and harmful thoughts before reaching the end of one's life cycle. Schott composed and performed Libres on the Moog Matriarch, centering the record on a pulse-driven, bubbling energy with constant momentum. She then reamped the music in one of her favorite spaces in Barcelona, Casa Montjuic, accentuating the album's sense of movement. The reamping process adds a literal physicality to the album, as carefully chosen and placed microphones (including the famous Neumann KU100 binaural head) capture both the venue's PA sound itself and the venue's acoustics. Colleen's music translates snapshots of Schott's life into singular pieces, often instrumentally transmuting a dense web of sensations into wondrous sonic terrain. Schott's deft manipulation of the Moog Matriarch makes each subtle adjustment feel monumental. The tender 'Mis armas se habían caído al suelo' skitters sonar-like echoes across a warm pool of organ chords before giving in to a gentle wash of oceanic feedback. The bounce of 'Puertas de mi cuerpo' is transformed by every textural shift where the steady arpeggio of 'Antídoto' is broken apart by dizzying shifts in pulse. 'Aguas abiertas' (or, 'Open Waters') stands as the cinematic centerpiece to the album as each movement dives deeper beneath the surface and reflects the magic of discovering microcosms on every level one plunges further down. Title track 'Libres antes del final' harnesses the album's sense of urgency as the intensity swells and undulates into a climactic conclusion unlike any piece Schott has made before."

Limited edition, heavy 350gsm sleeve with obi. We Release Jazz presents the limited vinyl edition of Obad's powerful new album Suspended, a vivid document of the Tehran ensemble's endlessly evolving sonic universe -- now available as a limited LP housed in a heavyweight sleeve with an obi strip and featuring original artwork by Iranian painter Sadra Baniasadi. Suspended is a superbly spontaneous, improvisational blend of exploratory jazz fusion, progressive funk-rock, and transcendental groove. Built from lived experience and shaped by Tehran's pulse, Obad's music is kinetic and intuitive -- an ever-morphing dialogue between rhythm and texture, emotion and message. With Farid Farzian Pour on drums, Siavash Karimi on electric guitar, Kiarash Radmehr on bass guitar, and Hamidreza Keshavrpajuh (aka Pajuh) on tenor saxophone, Obad creates a soundworld where hypnotic basslines meet thunderous, free-flowing percussion; where searing guitar motifs coil around saxophone phrases that move from whispered invocation to explosive catharsis. Suspended captures the quartet at full creative stretch: alive, unguarded, and deeply attuned to one another. Sadra Baniasadi's striking cover painting mirrors the album's energy -- bold, dreamlike, charged with movement, and extending Obad's world into the visual realm. Suspended stands as a major statement from one of Iran's most compelling contemporary ensembles, marking Obad's first release on We Release Jazz and continuing the label's commitment to boundary-pushing music born from profound listening, place, and collective intuition.

LP version. Cloud white color vinyl.

LP version. Opaque red color vinyl. "Dr. John, also known as 'The Nighttripper,' is a musical high priest of voodoo rock. Born Malcolm 'Mac' John Rebennack Jr. on November 20, 1941, in New Orleans (USA), he is a six-time Grammy Award winner and member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. That's enough by way of introduction; everything else is music history. It began in 1968 with the release of his first album, Gris-Gris (Atco Records), a sometimes eerie-sounding mixture of voodoo spells, rhythm and blues, and Creole soul music. With his colorful and picturesque stage performances, he stylized himself as Dr. John (Creaux) the Night Tripper, becoming an icon of psychedelic rock. Dr. John's true love, however, was the blues influenced by his hometown of New Orleans. He collaborated with numerous blues musicians such as Charles Brown and roots rocker Willy DeVille, as well as jazz musicians such as Maria Muldaur and Bennie Wallace, and rock musicians such as Mick Jagger and Eric Clapton. He appeared in Martin Scorsese's film The Last Waltz, a film adaptation of Bob Dylan and The Band's farewell concert, as well as in the film Blues Brothers 2000. On July 9, 1999, Dr. John performed at the Loreley as part of a Rockpalast festival. He was accompanied by three outstanding session musicians: David Barard (bass), Bobby Broom, and Herman Ernest (drums). The set list included Dr. John classics such as 'Iko, Iko,' 'Right Place, Wrong Time,' and 'I Walk On Guilded Splinters,' which became a global hit in 1969 in Marsha Hunt's version and was later covered by Cher, Humble Pie, and the Neville Brothers, among others. This Rockpalast recording is a moving legacy of the extraordinary musician and human being Dr. John, who passed away in the summer of 2019 in his beloved hometown of New Orleans."

Quinteplus was born in Buenos Aires at the end of the 1960s, emerging directly from the ideas and experiments of the legendary Agrupación Nuevo Jazz. Founded in the early '60s, this collective brought together some of the most forward-thinking figures in Argentine jazz functioned as a creative lab where musicians questioned where jazz could go next. Among the key ideas discussed was the fusion of jazz with Argentine folk styles such as zamba, chacarera, malambo, cueca, and candombe, as well as a deeper look into African rhythms as a bridge between musical worlds. Two members of that collective, keyboardist Santiago Giacobbe and bassist Jorge "Negro" González, carried those ideas forward when they formed Quinteplus in 1969. The group came together naturally: all the musicians already knew each other and had played in different projects around the Buenos Aires scene. They shared a strong admiration for Julian "Cannonball" Adderley's quintet, along with a clear goal -- to develop a modern jazz language grounded in local Argentine rhythms. From the start, Quinteplus stood out for its openness and adventurous spirit. Rhythm was central, and so was experimentation. The band belonged to a generation of Argentine jazz musicians eager to explore electric instruments and new textures, anticipating what would soon be known as jazz-rock. This was happening in Buenos Aires at the very same time Miles Davis was opening new doors with In a Silent Way and Bitches Brew. In 1971, Quinteplus recorded its first and only studio album for EMI. The original lineup featured Jorge Anders on tenor saxophone, Gustavo Bergalli on trumpet, Giacobbe on keyboards, González on upright and electric bass, and Norberto "Pocho" Lapouble on drums and percussion -- who also illustrated the album's iconic sleeve. The record is a refined showcase of the band's musical vision: original compositions, fluent jazz language, folk-derived rhythms, funky electric textures, tight ensemble playing, and standout brass solos. Though critically praised, the album received little label support and sold modestly, eventually becoming a sought-after collector's item. Quinteplus disbanded in 1973, their music was perhaps too bold and unconventional for its time. This first-time reissue brings back a vital chapter of Argentine jazz history, revealing a band that was truly ahead of the curve and still resonates powerfully today.
