Having established himself as one of the biggest names on the nu-disco scene with his debut album ESK 507583/507585, 2016), Tim Bernhardt AKA Satin Jackets, cemented that success with his follow-up, Solar Nights (ESK 510719/510720), that saw the German producer broaden his sound, collaborating with songwriters and vocalists from around the world to stunning effect. Returning to the studio Bernhardt has been inspired to return to his instrumental roots, the lessons learnt from the past few years applied to the dreamy, laidback electronic music that he first made his name with and which can now be heard on the four track Hidden Treasures EP. "I felt the need to again turn my hand to producing instrumental tracks. That resulted in the Golden Cage EP, which made me realize just how important it was to focus on crafting music that was completely my own and can shine without the need of vocals." That realization led to the Hidden Treasures EP, four tracks that are 100% undiluted and unfiltered Satin Jackets, imbued from start to finish with the chilled vibes and charm of his debut, the technical skill and musicality of its follow up, and crucially the confidence of a producer who is at the top of his game. "Instrumental tracks have this magic, this power that unfolds in their own unique way. Unbound by any kind of song structure or decisive meaning I can design them in my own way and focus more on the mood and the feeling. The result is four tracks that tell a story about a particular chapter of my life. At the same time they're open enough for the listener to insert their own story into it."

Double LP version. Reunion is the third album from nu-disco star Tim Bernhardt, aka Satin Jackets. Released on Eskimo Recordings, Reunion is a stunning follow-up to the German producer's first two critically acclaimed albums and features 14 stunning tracks of sun-kissed disco, Balearic house, leftfield pop, and guest vocals from the likes of Australian star Panama, Belgian singer Ivy Falls, US based vocalist Metaxas, and up-and-coming British singer Tailor. With Bernhardt's second album, Solar Nights (ESK 510719/510720, 2019), one of the most successful nu-disco records of recent times the following years should have made the Satin Jackets name a regular fixture on club and festival bills worldwide. The pandemic saw the producer's horizons limited to the four walls of his new Munich studio. Still with the world out of reach Bernhardt turned to the internet to keep in touch with his fans and sow the seeds for what would become Reunion. "Throughout 2020 we recorded a number of what we called Lockdown Streams," explains Bernhardt. With almost no promotion those sessions ended up being streamed over a million-and-a-half times, but for Bernhardt the real reward was the response from fans. Thankfully just as Bernhardt was able to connect with his fans online, he was able to reach out to his friends and accomplices around the world reuniting with many of the singers and songwriters that had graced both Panorama Pacifico (ESK 507583/507585) and Solar Nights and song by song, as files sped back and forth across the globe a new album, Reunion, took shape. Where the first two Satin Jackets albums saw Bernhardt work to first develop his own sound and then elevate his productions to another level, Reunion reveals an artist now completely at ease in the studio, a musician and producer now confident in both his abilities and artistic vision. From start-to-finish Reunion is an album that adds new depths and dimensions to the Satin Jackets sound whilst sounding utterly unforced. From the warm and welcoming opening tones of "For What We Have" right through to the last bittersweet chords of "Don't Worry", wistful pop songs like "Spell" and "Move On" grounded in the messiness of human emotions to tracks like the aptly named "Little Airplanes" that seem to float effortlessly about the clouds, Reunion is an album that you'll want to immerse yourself in and return to, time and time again.

Double LP version. Part 1 of two parts. Next Wave Acid Punx is a 38-track journey across nearly 40 years of dark club music compiled and curated by Berlin-based Musician and DJ, Luca Venezia aka Curses. Curses' set takes you from music by Colourbox and Suicide to EBM pioneers, Front 242 through to recent club hits from Zombies in Miami, and 12 brand new, totally exclusive tracks from the likes of Shubostar, Chinaski, and Curses himself. Exploring the darker side of club music, Next Wave Acid Punx traces decades of a musical passion and joins the dots between the EBM, new beat, Italo and acid house tracks of the 1980s to present music of today. "Putting together a compilation like this is a strange experience. I've never been one to stay still too long. Whether as a musician, DJ, or producer I'd never wanted to tie myself down to one scene or one sound, always looking to move on before I'd maybe run a project completely dry. With an album you create a snapshot of who you are during that time in life, with a DJ set maybe just that night, but this felt more like trying to sum up a lifetime of musical experiences . . . The first chapter takes early tracks from bands who came directly out of the punk and new wave scenes, that played a major role in forming my musical taste. The second chapter celebrates current music influenced by these early pioneers, while the third chapter comprises exclusive new music made for this compilation, with the passion for these genres in mind..." --Luca Venezia (Berlin, February 2021)
Features: Borghesia, Gina X Performance, Suicide, Demolition Group, A Split Second, BPM AM, Ted Milton, Front 242, Colourbox, Yello, Mystery, In-D, Judy Torres, and Hard Corps.

As it enters its 20th year of existence Belgian label Eskimo shows no sign of slowing down or scaling back its ambition. To kickstart this auspicious year the label returns with the The White Collection, the eighth release in its acclaimed Colour Series and a globetrotting compilation featuring 14 tracks of leftfield electronic music drawn from nine different countries, covering everything from cosmic disco to industrial sounding techno via Middle Eastern inspired house music and psychedelic electronic dub. Featuring label veterans such as NTEIBINT, recent signings like Cavego, Paresse, and Antenna and several acts making their debut including Gent-based four-piece band Omar Dahl, up-and-coming Australian producer The Oddness, and Reykjavik's Tonarunar, The White Collection is a both a snapshot of an electronic music scene in constant flux and a label that refuses to rest on its laurels. Since launching in the year 2000, Gent based Eskimo Recordings has become one of the leading electronic music labels in the world releasing genre defining artist albums and compilations from Satin Jackets, Aeroplane, Lindstrøm, Prins Thomas, The Glimmers, Optimo, Psychemagik, and many more. Since its launch in 2013, the Colour Series, now in its eighth edition, has continued to build upon the label's reputation, not only for discovering and curating great music but for great design and continuing that tradition the cover for The White Collection features a stunning photo, "Gravitation", by Amsterdam-based German photographer Katrin Korfmann. Soulwax's Grand Theft Auto V radio station, Belgian producer Transistorcake releases his official debut release, the Future Plans EP on Eskimo Recordings. "Future Plans I" and "II" are constantly changing routes of ideas, improvisations and coincidences. Whilst cut from the same cloth as the previous tracks "Ribbles" has sparkling, playful melodies that dance before a pulsing disco beat. "Kluts" is driven by a stuttering, head-nodding, rhythm that recalls that rapping sound of a woodpecker in the forest, the track is gently swaddled in a warm embrace of synthetic stings.

Double LP version; includes download. Solar Nights is the long-awaited second album from German nu-disco star Tim Bernhardt, aka Satin Jackets. Released on Eskimo Recordings Solar Nights follows on from Bernhardt's critically acclaimed, and Gold certified, debut Panorama Pacifico (ESK 507583/ ESK 507585, 2016) and features 14 tracks of smooth disco and leftfield pop sounds with guest appearances from the likes of Future Classic's Panama, David Harks, Niya Wells, Emma Brammer, and Anduze. The global success of Panorama Pacifico has seen Bernhardt coaxed out from his remote studio in one of Germany's ancient forests to play to fans across the world, from South Korea to Mexico and beyond, experiences that inspired both the album itself and its title, Solar Nights. In recent years the world's become smaller, a more inter-connected place. It can be dark and cold here, with snow all around, and the next day I can be playing to people on a beach. Somewhere on the planet it's always daytime or summer, but beyond that day and night just blend into each other these days," Tim explains. "We have daytime discos so you can go and party while the sun is still high in the sky, and you can go and hit the gym at night. Be it day or night, Satin Jackets is your soundtrack." And what a soundtrack it is, from the first chords of opening 'Welcome Back' it's clear we're in safe hands here, the warm pads, delicate guitars and pianos providing the perfect introduction to the album. Solar Nights takes everything we loved from Panorama Pacifico and polishes it to an ultra-high sheen. And in an age when rough and raw production is seen as an easy shorthand for authenticity, Tim's love of über-smooth production has made him an unlikely iconoclast, producing music that reflects the glamour and glitz of '70s Manhattan, artfully updated for the 21st century.

Originally released as part of Eskimo Recordings acclaimed compilation The Red Collection (ESK 508278, 2017), Dutch duo SHMLSS's "Train Ride to the Middle East" is a heady psychedelic brew of twisted disco and Middle Eastern sounds. Eskimo release the track on vinyl for the first time, complete with a new remix from Marvin & Guy. Stripping the track down to its glistening muscles, Marvin & Guy have rebuilt it around a bassline that throbs and pulsates in an almost unseemly manner.

Eskimo Recordings present The Purple Collection, the seventh release in the label's annual color series of compilations. Featuring brand new tracks from the likes of Simple Symmetry, Cavego, and Future Feelings alongside recent label highlights from Horixon, Atella, Paresse, and NTEIBINT, The Purple Collection provides another essential snapshot into today's electronic music scene. Norwegian duo Atella team-up with bonafide Scandinavian sensation AURORA for the frosty ambience of "Ascension". Berlin duo Languages pick-up the baton with the stunning Balearic heart-melter, "Helicopters". Inspired by the Turkish music of his grandfather, Dogu Civicik makes his debut on the label with "Andromalius IV", a heavy, psychedelic brew of chugging beats, delicate jazz flourishes, drones, and industrial sounds. Brooklyn producer IV Edition teams up with Californian singer Lilianna Wilde for "Whose Man's" a languid, nostalgic jam that samples the sound of rain and a close-up recording of fire ants. Russian producer Antenna offers "Sparks" a vintage-sounding cosmic disco gem with warm arpeggios. Parisian producer Simon Says has been doing his thing for over two decades now and it shows in the insouciant funk of "Feel Me", an outrageously funky sex jam. Mexican producers Dan Solo and Future Feelings turn up both the heat and the tempo with "What Else Can I Do", a perfect slice of electro-funk all topped off with the heartfelt vocals of Tony Browne. Keeping the party vibe going Norwegian producer Cavego steps up next with the snappily titled and irrepressibly upbeat "Vår I Øyer" ("Spring in Øyer"). One of the label's veterans, Greek producer NTEIBINT teams up with his fellow Athenian Σtella for a sci-fi disco ballad full of heartbreaks and mellow synth lines. Swedish producer Paresse takes "Quiet Light" from his Sloth Machine EP (2017), a sun-kissed instrumental track. Russian duo Simple Symmetry return with their original track "Prince Of Persia" -- melodic, emotional music that isn't afraid to wear its heart on its sleeve. Icelandic producer Hermigervill's "Disco Borealis" is another stand-out piece of cosmic-Scandi-disco, playful yet still primed for commotion on the dancefloor. Norway's BOKA offer "Space Issues", a wonderfully eclectic track that skips between classic cosmic disco arpeggios, Skatt Bros style chanting, thumping house pianos, and acidic squelches. To close out the collection, British-based duo Horixon and Norwegian singer Else Born offer "Hello", a quiet storm of numinous pads, sparse piano chords, and an almost two-step beat. Cover features a photo by Danish photographer Ken Hermann.

Originally released in October 2017 on Eskimo Recordings, Paresse's Sloth Machine EP won the Swedish producer a legion of new fans. With the throbbing Italo-disco inspired "Temple" proving to be especially popular with DJs, Eskimo have pressed the track onto a limited edition 12" alongside a brand new remix from hotly tipped Russian brothers Simple Symmetry. Wisely opting to retain much of the feel of the original, Sasha and Sergey have instead gently pushed the tempo, toughened up the drums with a new focus on the track's percussive elements and added a greater depth of space.

Part two of two double LP versions. Tribal Rites is a musical autobiography of sorts from one of dance music's most dedicated historians, Bill Brewster. The compilation takes its listeners on a personal journey through Bill's 36-year long involvement in the music industry. Whether running DMC's New York offices or labels including Twisted UK and Forensic, being one of Fabric's original residents, or writing (with Frank Broughton) probably the definitive overview of DJ culture, Bill's fingerprints can be found all over dance music's past few decades. Tribal Rites isn't just a "House & Disco Greatest Hits", it's the soundtrack to a life spent at the coalface of record collecting, of early mornings at car boot sales, and late nights logged onto Discogs. Split into three sections, the compilation begins in the post-punk period, and explores the influence of dub on bands like Urang Otan, General Strike, and The Raincoats. The second section takes you into that mish-mash of sounds and styles best described as "Balearic" where the likes of Bobbie Gentry and Final Edition can happily co-exist and a country and western cover of Hall & Oates "I Can't Go For That" seems obvious. The final section showcases what a broad church house music is, accommodating the spiritual yearnings of Mother Tongue and the precision tooled productions of Basic Channel's Maurizio. Tribal Rites is a vital reminder that there's a lot more to DJing than downloading the latest Beatport chart and waving your hands in the air. Presented as a triple CD set (ESK 508743) or over two double LP sets (ESK 508718 and ESK 508719).
Double LP Part 2 features: The General, Dooley Silverspoon, Bill Brewster, Ströer, Silverlining, Love From San Francisco, Nashville Rhythm Section, Sweet Potato Pie, Swag, Mother Tongue, Larry Heard, and Swayzak.

Ghent based Eskimo Recordings return with The Red Collection, the sixth installment in their color series. Across 13 tracks, The Red Collection segues between left-field electronic pop, disco, and house, taking the listener from the frozen north, to the souks of the middle east and beyond. Icelandic producer Hermigervill opens with the crystalline electronica of "Solitaire" before passing the baton onto Norwegian duo Atella, whose collaboration with Frøder, "Closer To Life", has already been hailed by Clash as a "glittering alt pop belter". Detouring to the Russian city of Kazan, fast-rising producer Antenna delivers an ode to his favorite hookah tobacco in the shape of "Love 66", a breezy slo-mo disco gem filled with Balearic charm. Returning to Scandinavia Philco Fiction's Turid Alida Solberg delivers her solo debut as Else Born, the heartbreaking "This Time/Remember" lauded as a "masterclass in modern electronic pop" by The Line of Best Fit. Japanese based, British producer Max Essa provides a sublime moment of electronic funk with "Your Cathedrals Reimagined". Satin Jackets combine their original brand of diva funk and smooth disco with the refreshing vocals of the talented Niya Wells. LA-based, French duo Blue Motel follow up with their first original material for the label. "Lunch With The King" is divine, French house music with swirling electronic melodies and pulsating bass lines. Greek producer NTEIBINT provides indelible music for both body and soul with "Love". Dutch DJs SHMLSS offer "Train Ride to the Middle East", a psychedelic brew of twisted disco and Middle Eastern sounds. Romanian twins The Gemini Brothers take the listener deep into house territory with the hypnotic bleeps and beats of "Travel Inside". Over to Germany, producer Rey & Kjavik offers "Akya", a mix of throbbing bass, head-spinning synths and chants. Australian born, Munich based TSM, aka This Soft Machine, delivers an outstanding cut of otherworldly disco with a futurist sheen complete with Swedish singer Erik Lindestad, aka The Land Below, on the vocals. The duo Horixon end with "The Beekeeper", featuring vocals from Birsen of one of Belgium's fastest rising acts Hydrogen Sea. Horixon's label friends Atella have reworked the original to create the perfect closing track for The Red Collection. The cover for The Red Collection features a stunning photo by Berlin artist Julia Baier taken from her acclaimed series Water Matters. Includes bonus mix CD of all 13 tracks.

One of three double LP versions. Ritual Chants is a stellar earthbound and outer space odyssey, respectfully embellishing Psychemagik's taste and passion for the wonderful, the sublime and very often unusual. Ritual Chants skillfully shows insights into applying retro finds into a contemporary setting, much of the material acquired via world tours and capturing the excitement of finding and sharing lost jewels. Compiled by Danny McLewin, the renowned record digger of the duo, Ritual Chants is carefully programmed and sequenced over three double LP releases - also presented as a 3CD set (ESK 507964) - with three themes: Love, Beach (ESK 508014) and Dance (ESK 508015), all of which tenderly demonstrate curious ears with a respectful nod to the past and the future via touchstones of pre-new age emanations. On Love, these pre-new age emanations are present with "Water Sports" by Man Parrish, a beautiful tranquil and cascading synth poem which soothes and pulses, and the sublime and haunting "God's Garden" by John J. Francis. Other songs such as the Gallic seduction of "L'Amour Joue Au Violon" by Jeanette, a real string-swept lost masterpiece reminiscent of Melody Nelson-era Serge Gainsbourg are featured. Psychemagik are a duo as infamous for their production technique as their DJ skills, their prolific edits laced with subtle studio production re-interpreting vintage gems and giving them a contemporary bounce. Love also features: The Rias Orchestra, Chac Mool, Kraan, G.R.C. Five, Free Fantasy, Wavemaker, Bobby Lyle, Babla & Kanchan, FG's Romance, Etienne Vermoessen & Guido Delo, Musyl & Joseppa and Karat.

Beach also features: El Sueño De Hyparco, Minako Yoshida, Adrian Gurvitz, Hitomi Tohyama, Chagrin D'Amour, Amini, Electric Machine, Jean Guy Ruff, J.M. Black and Danny Boy.

Belgian imprint Eskimo Recordings presents the fifth installment in its annual compilation series, exploring the boundaries of the label's house, disco and pop infusions in The Yellow Collection. The opening moments of The Yellow Collection come from Eskimo's core artists, with Norway's Atella, "one of this new wave's best" according to Thump. Greek producer NTEIBINT's "By Your Side" is a deliciously mellow and disco-tinged track that features former Twin Shadow bassist Rush Midnight (aka Russ Manning) and the unstoppable Du Tonc's head-spinning classic "We Can Hold On" cultivates the pinnacle of the unique indie/disco sound suffused with pop sensibilities that Eskimo does so well. The Yellow Collection unveils the previously unreleased dub mix from iconic German duo Satin Jackets for the first time. Man Power showcases "Fisky," a driving and hypnotic cut that follows nicely on from his inclusion in XLR8R's "Best of 2015: New Artists" feature. This Soft Machine has graced both Nicolas Jaar's Other People label and Eskimo's The Orange Collection (ESK 507080), and picked up props from the likes of FACT for his robotic demeanor, revisited here in "It's Operational." Handpicking talent from the local Belgian scene, Eskimo present two new acts from Antwerp for the project. Go March is an instrumental group whose debut single "Rise" stretches a post-rock groove in a sort of Mogwai-meets-Kraftwerk synthesis, while the dark, hypnotic and electronic Blackie & The Oohoos' "Aphexy" shifts The Yellow Collection toward rhythm and coherence and shows a band at the top of their game. At the heart of the collection are two acts from the cooler Scandinavian climates of Norway that are familiar to the tastebuds of Eskimo fans. The alluring vocals of Else Born (also known as Norway's finest pop export Philco Fiction) appear on "Colours," a track from Horixon that references '90s R&B, classic house, and a touch of garage. Oslo's Vinny Villbass finds his way back onto Eskimo with "The Itch" and its haunting synths that infiltrate the lower frequencies. Each artist has their own identity but Eskimo forms a package of seamless musical treats and forges yet new allies in the dreamy landscape of The Yellow Collection. Also includes tracks by MiddleSkyBoom feat. Eliezer, LUXXURY, Zombies In Miami, and James Curd. Includes bonus mix CD.

2021 repress on color vinyl. Double LP version. Electropop darlings Satin Jackets (German producer Tim Bernhardt and lead performer Den Ishu) unveil their debut artist album, Panorama Pacifico, featuring a string of cameos from vocalists jetting in from LA, Berlin, London, Belgium, and Australia. Scaling the heights of the Hype Machine right from their first release and clocking up almost ten million plays on Spotify, the duo deals in an original brand of diva funk and smooth disco that has whetted the taste buds of the likes of Majestic Casual and i-D (the latter of which called the duo's work "super sexy, infectious house music thats filled with the vibe of summertime"). Their smash single, "You Make Me Feel Good," has accumulated close to three million plays on SoundCloud and YouTube at the time of this release, while their eponymous live show has relentlessly toured the US, Canada, Mexico, and Europe, opening their fluid pop appeal and accessible four-to-the-floor groove up to the world at large. Bernhardt recalls the origins of their debut album: "The idea came from our character, Mr. Satin Jackets, who's been travelling the world quite a bit the past two years. Four continents, about twenty countries, he's on the West Coast and takes a break. He watches the ocean to put his mind at ease and . . . Panorama Pacifico." This idyllic perspective is launched by the vocals of Scavenger Hunt, the Los Angeles-based electropop four-piece who have been charted by Billboard and featured by the likes of Nylon, while Nigeria-born, Birmingham-based UoB's Got Talent winner IsaacO contributes to "Keep Moving On." The album also takes a peek into the past successes of Satin Jackets, with 2015's smash single "Shine On You" featuring UK-born, Berlin-based talent Esser (which Clash called "an exploratory glimpse into the mind-expanding side of Satin Jackets' electronics") and 2016 single "We Can Talk" featuring vocals from Emma Brammer. Further collaborators include Ghent-based collective I will, I swear; Melbourne's Kids At Midnight; and Belgian pop diamonds-in-the-rough Marble Sounds. Fellow Eskimo artist and Greek producer NTEIBINT and KLP from Australia also feature. Three-quarters of the tracks are fresh and introduce exciting guest vocalists and producers. These are complemented by the duo's much-loved staples, "Girl, Forever" and "You Make Me Feel Good."
